Hello fellow travelers, the Castle View House B&B is beautifully located on Carrig Island, a secluded and therefore relaxing spot, within view on the ruins of Carrigafoyle Castle. The B&B itself is perfectly located for trips to the Ring of Beara, Ring of Kerry and County Kerry in general making it an ideal base from which to plan your daily... More

We enjoyed a single night at this lovely welcoming B&B during the Kerry Races in nearby Listowel. My niece Jessica raved about our stay as her favourite part of the 10 day trip. It all had to do with the helpful host Garrett and hostess Patricia. Their venue has loads of Irish charm starting with the owners. The history of... More

The whole BnB itself was rather dated and old fashioned. But we received a lovely welcome from Garret and Petricia. We requested even meal as there was very little opportunity to eat anywhere else in that area. They kindly catered for our vegetarian needs! The area surrounding Carrig Island is obviously not used to tourists! The pubs were quirky but... More

We stayed in late June just as the drought broke. We were made very welcome and had to adjoining rooms down stairs which was good. Beds were nice and rooms clean but bathrooms were a bit tired. Great three course supper (bring your own beer/wine) which we walked off with an evening stroll (hike) to the Martello tower on the... More

When we arrived we were greeted with a couple of tea in the living area which was quite lovely after a long day of travelling. We were made feel like we were at home and the hosts were very helpful with recommendations for restaurants. The room was gorgeous with a lovely window view of the castle and estuary. The beds... During our visit to the west coast of Ireland to trace my ancestry, we decided to visit and stay at CARRIG island, due purely to sharing a name with the place (who doesn't want to visit their own island??). I expected the scenery of the Island, but what i didn't expect is the truly genuine and fantastic couple that run... More

My granddaughter and I stayed 2 wonderful days here on a 2 week tour of Ireland. I did a lot of research on Carrigafoyle Castle (one of the last strongholds of the O'Connor Kings) and with the same maiden name, I just had to come here. Waking up in the morning with a view of that castle was absolutely surreal!... More

Both Garath and Patricia were welcoming and extremely friendly, this lovely couple welcomed us to their B&B with smiles and a pot of tea as we arrived, the accommodation is comfortable, it's situated on a Island which is surrounded by peace and quiet, perfect getaway for a relaxing time, but near Kerry Airport for easy access Into Ireland also lots... We came with our parents, looking for a nice location on the west, place which will be a good stop when visiting Clare and Kerry. We had very good experience - good value for money for sure. The rooms were nice and clean, views of the countryside just lovely. I wish there were a bit more space in the bathroom... More

We had a brilliant time here, my only gripe was there were no coffee making facilities in the rooms. Despite this, everything else was great. Rooms clean, food lovely and views. Patricia and Garrett are a lovely couple and very helpful.
