We stayed in late June just as the drought broke. We were made very welcome and had to adjoining rooms down stairs which was good. Beds were nice and rooms clean but bathrooms were a bit tired. Great three course supper (bring your own beer/wine) which we walked off with an evening stroll (hike) to the Martello tower on the... More

When we arrived we were greeted with a couple of tea in the living area which was quite lovely after a long day of travelling. We were made feel like we were at home and the hosts were very helpful with recommendations for restaurants. The room was gorgeous with a lovely window view of the castle and estuary. The beds... During our visit to the west coast of Ireland to trace my ancestry, we decided to visit and stay at CARRIG island, due purely to sharing a name with the place (who doesn't want to visit their own island??). I expected the scenery of the Island, but what i didn't expect is the truly genuine and fantastic couple that run... More

My granddaughter and I stayed 2 wonderful days here on a 2 week tour of Ireland. I did a lot of research on Carrigafoyle Castle (one of the last strongholds of the O'Connor Kings) and with the same maiden name, I just had to come here. Waking up in the morning with a view of that castle was absolutely surreal!... More

Both Garath and Patricia were welcoming and extremely friendly, this lovely couple welcomed us to their B&B with smiles and a pot of tea as we arrived, the accommodation is comfortable, it's situated on a Island which is surrounded by peace and quiet, perfect getaway for a relaxing time, but near Kerry Airport for easy access Into Ireland also lots... We came with our parents, looking for a nice location on the west, place which will be a good stop when visiting Clare and Kerry. We had very good experience - good value for money for sure. The rooms were nice and clean, views of the countryside just lovely. I wish there were a bit more space in the bathroom... More

We had a brilliant time here, my only gripe was there were no coffee making facilities in the rooms. Despite this, everything else was great. Rooms clean, food lovely and views. Patricia and Garrett are a lovely couple and very helpful.

We have stayed here many times and have always come in to an immaculately clean and comfortable room. Patricia and Garrett go out of their way to help their guests. The meals have never failed to be delicious and satisfying. We especially love the peaceful island setting and enjoy walking on the island and over to the nearby castle. The... More

Spent one night here with two friends, had a delicious home-cooked breakfast and dinner (veggies were from the B&B garden) and the host was very friendly and helpful. My room was clean and neat, plain but fine for one night. The area around the B&B is full of marshlands and Carrigafoyle Castle, which has an interesting history, stands in full... More

The couple that owns the place are extremely nice. They made us a homemade four-course dinner for a reasonable price, which was absolutely delicious. The room wasn't large, but it was big enough for the two of us and was quite comfortable. We had a nice view of the castle across the way. In the morning, we had a wonderful... More
