Had Farang Bungalows is a good place to stay. It's location, just back from the beach, means it's not overpriced. I chose a fan bungalow, which cost me £31 for 3 nights. I found it cool enough, as the weather was cloudy and ac rooms were more than double the price. There were cheaper rooms, with shared facilities, but, at... More

We stayed at Had Farang Bungalow for 2 nights. Room was simple, with shower and fan. We also had a mosquito net. Unfortunately, this net was destroyed - with a lot of holes on it. Shower smelled awful and there was no flush toilet. Price was normal 450 THB/night. Wifi was just on the reception, not in the bungalow. The... More

We stayed in 2 resorts while on Koh Mook, Had Farang had no room so we camped in the tents. It was fine, the main appeal was the wifi (which got slow if many people are logged on) and the restaurant. The drinks were well priced and the food was decent in comparison to many other meals that we had.... More

They get a 1 star because the bed was comfortable. That's where the positives end.The wifi a joke, the fan was ultra noisy, the bathroom dirty and the smell of the water, as previously mentioned, truly disturbing. And then there was the manager. My wife and I have been working and living in the region for the past 15 months, in... More

Don't be fooled by the initial good impression you may have of this place. The bungalows are OK and a decent price, however, the water from the shower in the bungalow I had smelt disgusting when I turned it on. The staff were disinterested and it took two days to do a kilo of laundry. There were only four people... More

Oow men, we arrived and all seemed so good. Nice owner, decent bungalows. But when the night started we noticed that we where not the only one in the bungalow. The place was packed with rats! After a night between being awake and sleeping because of the rats we got a wakeup call from the owner. The guy submitted us... More

We went to Koh Mook without having a room booked. The first night we spent at Rubber Tree Bungalows because Had Farang was fully booked. Then we stayed 5 nights at Had Farang which was cheaper (550 bht versus 800 bht, both basic bungalows, although rubber tree had breakfast included so price almost the same). We liked HF much better... More

My boyfriend and I camped here for 3 nights. The rents had power and a fan. Beds were pretty comfy. The showers and toilets were really close by. The staff were friendly and the food there was lovely (especially the pad thai) would recommend it!

I stayed here in over the Christmas holidays in 2011. It was the beginning of a year of travels, and I wanted a quiet little gorgeous island and that is exactly what I got. Because I only reserved for a few days and kept extending my stay, I think I stayed in 5 different rooms! The staff were all sweet... More
