The hotel is not suitable for personal events. The passage is smelly and the rooms are NOT clean. I was there for 10 minutes and left. However the operator's of the hotel CHARGED my credit card, and apparently my credit card company can do nothing about it. This is a warning to others who would wish to stay at this... more

Simply the worst hotel ever!! The reception and hallways were both dirty, smelly and in need of redecoration. The rooms are even worse, we even found hairs in the bed from the last occupant. The staff and mangement have been both rude and lax about the complaints i made. I left the hotel without even staying one night, you could... more

I stayed at the Happy Day Inn from March 20 - 27, 2008. I found it decent, very safe, quiet and clean. The price was right - $69/night for the deluxe room which included a small kitchenette and a queen sized bed (didn't use the kitchenette, but it was great to have it as an option). I didn't check out... more

Booked it blind at Hotwire because I needed a place to spend a night. It was the cheapest on the list and I got what I paid for. The room was clean, but that's all I can give it credit for. more

On arrival you will be asked for your credit card for potential breakages!!! As we normally use cash, debit cards etc we were told that we couldn't have our room even though it had been fully paid for in advance. It took a $100 cash deposit to the receptionist to finally get in after an hour. We were desparate at... more

My husband and I were looking for a cheap hotel close to his parents' condo for a one-night stay. He found the Happy Day Inn on Travelocity. We were a little concerned, based on reviews, but the hotel wasn't bad. The bedding and towels were clean, the room was fairly clean, and we ended up with a small kitchenette as... more

We stayed in Vancouver from May 5th to May 11th. We loved the city and the sites so much therefore we where willing to put up with our smelly cheaper hotel.,it was very far from downtown Vancouver, and the area it was in looked a little rough. We where having a excellent time until, someone stole my wife's purse. We... more

I didn't end up staying but did end up paying . . . LOL I called ahead to the "un"-Happy Day Inn, that I had arrived from my red eye flight and wanted to arrive at a set time and was told "no problem" the room would be ready. I showed up more than an hour later than I said... more

Pretty cheap place, but quite a way from the waterfront, science world, chinatown...But #106 bus stop is 1 block away. About a 3-5 minute ride down to the skytrain. Then take the skytrain to the tourist destinations (about 20 minutes to waterfront?). If you plan to take the bus to the skytrain, I would recommend you walk past that bus... more
