Just briefly summarizing. We encountered bed bugs in this place and one week after our stay in this place we noticed traces of scabies in our skin. The booking of the place via phone was a sketchy process. The place was very unclean, unpleasant and noisy, though the guests and staff were cheerful and the neighborhood was quite nice. It... More

As mentioned in other reviews, you may be told to come to one property, but be moved somewhere else upon arrival of the staff member. So yeah, they took me from a house to an apartment building, which was even closer to skytrain and shops, so no complaints. Now this is not a typical hostel, it is more of a... More

Was comfortable enough. Bed was ok and everything was clean. Staff were lovely- all very relaxed and easy going. Good location for train and Metrotown. Pizza and vietnamese food close by. Good budget accommodation

This hostel is actually a house in a neighborhood close to Skytrain, a HUGE shopping center, and a library. The staff was very helpful (and apologetic when we had to wait on towels). You take off your shoes upon entry which we thought was kind of charming in a very homey way, and there are two kitchens-one upstairs and one... More

This is one of my favourite hostels I've ever been to. This was my first time in Canada and the staff made me feel very comfortable by giving an overview of all the attractions in the area and the places I should avoid. They recommended a Greek restaurant called Stefos in the city which was delicious and a great value!... More

Personally I enjoyed my 3 night stop here, after 2 weeks of Downtown city hostels it was a nice change to stay somewhere quiet and relaxed, very homely. However it's definitely not for everyone, the area (burnaby) is a typical suburban sprawl ie. safe and friendly however there is not a lot to do in the area. A 10 minute... More

this is a cheap and easy place to stay with the staff comprising of travellers to work to live there. its pretty homey as its a house which has been converted and they are improving the place as it goes but staying there was easy and those who were up for socialising did and those who didn't stayed in their... We had a similar experience to Marie below. This place was much worse inside than advertised and we ended up rebooking elsewhere for our second night. Contrary to what the house manager said, my card was charged (despite assertions to the contrary) and the owner was very unsympathetic to issues with the property and our bad experience. Never stay here!... More

Very good location, close to Metrotown Skytrain Station. Good money value. Quiet and safe place. Extraordinary friendly and helpful staff. We received a lot of very useful information and tips. Big thank you for that!

clean, good location. It is about 10 min. walk to Metrotown Skytrain, a large mall, stores, shops, restaurants. Good security. Free street parking...great. (I was staying downtown hostel the night before, and it cost me 12 dollars on parking. ) I am in a 4 people male dorm room at this backpacker house, and spent 19 dollars a night with... More
