For 70 bucks a night it's a fine place. Couldn't find anything cheaper (hostels? Motels?) so ended up here. Very convenient location if downtown Campbell River is where you want to be. It's an older establishment but they've been renovating, new laminate floors in the rooms and halls. The older gentleman who checked us in was very friendly and helpful.... More

What can I say. Its 70 bucks a night, half the price of the "chain brands". Peter is the owner, very nice guy who actually walked me up to the room. Pro: great value Cons: the room I had, there was no A/C basic room, 1980 style TV ( I was seldom in the room regardless) Would I stay here... More

I would admit with the cliche "you get what you pay for" as $80.00 for a night is pretty cheap but everything you can think of, this place didn't have. I got in at 10:00 pm and paid for my ticket online two days before and once I arrived, the clerk, I think, was his first night on the job.... More

Thought to write this only because I may go back next month. Location is perfect but reviewers are correct in saying that the place is worn and dated. It's a pretty rough crowd there some nights, (I've been a periodic client back to the 1980s When we came out of the logging camps and it hasnt changed) Ask for a... More

I love staying at this hotel. There isnt extras but the owner Peter is amazing. Always treats us like family. Very affordable and he always makes us feel safe. It is an older hotel but Im not a snob. Ive stayed at expensive hotel where the water is 6.00 and seriously why? For me feeling safe and being welcome is... More

We stayed at this hotel, it is was a last minute reservation, first let me say it looks like they are trying to clean the place up, newer laminate flooring in all the hallway and rooms but it is a case of you get what you pay for. the shower had no real head so it just pelted me with... More

I have stayed off and on at the Haida/Harbourside for several months (last September/October, and May through till the present) I work locally, and spend my time off in Campbell River. The lack of amenities i.e. pool, gym, breakfast are more than made up for by the pleasantness and eagerness to please of the owner Peter and his staff. This... More

This is our third stay at the Harbourside Inn and it's still cheap and cheerful. The old couple that run the place are pleasant and helpful with my kids. We were on our way to Quadra Island and they had some good suggestions. The hotel wasn't super modern but fit my budget. It was sparse but clean and had laminate... More

I cannot understand why anyone could recommend this place unless the postive reviews werre written by familiy members or people being bribed Remember the movie Psycho with the Bates Motel, well this felt almost the same. Upon entering a musty smelling foyer, I knew that I made a mistake by staying here. The long empty hallways with old dated carpet... More

What more could you ask for from an affordable clean room in the heart of down town and so close to the ocean you can smell that fresh salt air. The staff make you feel right at home and the attached cold beer and wine have a wonderful selection of wines as well as foreign and domestic beer and spirits.... More
