My family (2 adults and 1 teenager) were looking for an inexpensive place to spend the night in Castlegar and this fit the bill perfectly! We were in room 106. Big bathroom, 2 queens beds, air conditioner, and little kitchenette with hot plate. It was nice to have the option of making our own food. It was easy to get... More

This was definitely an outdated motel that charged more than it's worth...ants were all over out room and the walls were peeling, mouldy and "soft" in the bathroom. However they had dog friendly rooms available and we arrived late at night which is why we stayed and the receptionist was incredibly friendly and easy going. Our room said no pets... More

My husband checked into a kitchenette unit for a week. What a joke the room was about 6 x 8 with a bed, 2 burner stovetop and only one burner worked. Not a coffee cup to be found. Had to eat dinner on his lap as there was no place to set the plate down. One small pot, no lid.... More

We are a family of 6 who stayed in room 218 (kitchen suite) for two nights. Never again. The place is very old and not well maintained. The beds, furniture, and dishes looked and felt like they were cast-aways from a salvage center. The floor was not level so we felt off balance walking down the hall. The old TV... More

The motel was old and extremely noisy ... We could hear people in the room beside as if they were in our room, and cars... One of the worst motel we've seen !!! Everything is old but the room was clean.. Beds are not comfortable, old and flabby. The owner has not been able to tell us any restaurant in... More

Room was clean and accommodating for the price. Although located on a highway, it was not noisy during the night. It is in a good location for getting into town and restaurants. The staff including the dog are very welcoming.

We have all heard of it, but never think it will happen to you. They did it to me, and charged my CC $250,00. There are several reasons why this motel always have rooms available, when the entire town is booked solid. BEWARE.

When Mr H. registered for a Non-Smoking Room, he signed a rental contract that clearly stated his room was 100% smoke free. Further, the contract stated he would be responsible for all damages caused to the room, furnishings or fixtures and a $250.00 cleaning fee could be assessed. We would prefer our guests have a pleasant memory of their stay.... More

There is nothing wrong with this little place. The rooms may be a bit dated, but they are extremely clean and well maintained. We stayed here 3 nights while visiting friends and found the place more than adequate. If you have 5 star expectations, than this isn't the place for you, but if you are looking for a cozy well... The motel was old, tired, shabby, dirty and in an extremely noisey location. The flowers on the outside are faded plastic, the indoor/outdoor carpet in front is torn and it doesn't get any better inside. The sheets and towels are worn and faded and the towels and bathmat had holes. The wallpaper border near the ceiling was curled and peeling... More

This motel has so much potential if the owners would put some effort and money into modernizing it.. It's a nice place to stay if you're into 70"s scenery in each room.. The rooms are most definately clean and reasonably priced with a good location just the interior of each room is... Well awful. The beds are most definately not... More
