We had know idea what we were in for when on a recent road trip through BC and Alberta Canada. But, to our surprise it was one of the nicest places we stayed while visiting Banff and doing an eight day road trip. The landscaping to the bedroom comfort and amenities to the breakfast that was accompanied by a great... More

We spent one night in Castlegar on a loop around southern BC. Marc was an excellent host and prepared a delicious made-to-order breakfast for us. The gardens are beautiful as is the location. A real plus was the outdoor table and chairs on the deck off the Moonlight Suite. We ate dinner outside and enjoyed the evening. The setting near... More

These two run one of the best Bed and Breakfasts I've ever seen. The rooms are amazing with beautifully designed amenities and the attention to detail is second to none. Meira is an incredible artist and Marc is a mind blowing cook. I can't wait to go back!

This B&B did not disappoint. Mark and Meira were so welcoming and their home is stunning. the gardens, the breakfast, the 900 thread count sheets - need I say more. We will be spreading the good word and will be staying here again. Highly recommend!

We stayed in Castlegar for one night on our way to Vancouver Island. This has to be the best place to stay in town. The property is a beautiful and art-filled inn with huge comfortable beds, a great bathroom and very accommodating the hosts. We enjoyed the hot tub, a great breakfast and a sound sleep. You can't go wrong... More

My son and I have stayed at Marc's Windborne B&B in the past and once again our stay here was exceptional. The foliage look fantastic and very welcoming. The trees and plants have really matured since our first visit 3 years ago. The accomodations are simply top notch with comfortable beds and linens. The bathrooms are similar to what you... More

The only thing I can say bad about Windborne Bed and Breakfast, was we had to leave. Mark and Mirja were great to our family and we can not think of a single complaint. 5 days were not enough, sitting watching the hummingbirds feed or admiring Marks great lanscaping. Murray, Olga and Elizabeth, we hope to visit again, soon!!

Paper mill right across the river; when we attended mill was shut down but some industrial noise. Meals were average; unfortunately received decaf coffee unknown to us ( as another guest requested decaf and we were served from the same coffee pot); requested a key to the room upon settling in and Marc advised for us "don't worry about it".... Thank you for all of your helpful suggestions. Feedback is very important to us. We now have 2 coffee pots and keys hang in all three of our guest room doors. We also appreciate value for our money. That is why we have 1 room and 2 suites. Each with a different value. $120, $135, and our most luxurious suite,... More
