This resort doesn't look like much on the outside, but the food is soooo good! I would go back just for the food. The service is great and prompt, I totally recommend the restaurant. The resort is right by the ocean, so the view at the restaurant and garden area is gorgeous. The spa is also a wonderful place to... More

My husband and I recently spent 6 nights at the Kingfisher "Resort" while visiting family in Comox. The first issue we had were the pillows - they gave us incredible neck aches, so much so that my husband joked: "perhaps this is how they get people into the spa for massages." We ended up buying our own pillows at Target... More

I just returned from a two night stay at the Kingfisher. I had reservations, and these were kept with no problem. I was looking forward to a lovely spa resort stay. Firstly, at the desk, I was greeted by a very warm and efficient woman, named Gerda I believe...good start. The rooms are motel fashion, in that they are all... More

Booked a suite which was well equipped and 20 steps to the ocean. Comfortable and acceptably clean but no air conditioning. Being on ground floor we were hesitant to leave doors open for a breeze. Hydropath at the spa was fantastic experience.

My second time here and equally relaxing as first time. Very calm and surprisingly private setting despite always crossing paths with fellow spa-ites over the weekend. Somehow I felt that all the splendour and attention to detail was just for us-our own private resort. Very thoughtful to have windows opened in our room so it was aired out. Nothing worse... More

Just back from a 2 night stay. (Bought a Travel Zoo Package: Excellent value) . Husband and I celebrated 36 th Wedding Anniversary after a stressful home renovation and move. This was our first time at the Kingfisher and we both enjoyed a very simple, relaxing stay. The room was dated, but clean with nice balcony overlooking the grounds (Block... More

We booked this resort due to its quick drive time to both Campbell River and Nanaimo, also with a visit to Mt Washington in mind. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate for the mountain trip, but there were some nice places in the area to visit. There is a very nice shop in Fanny Bay where we picked up some... More

We spent 2 nights in the oceanfront room and enjoyed the views and privacy. The hydropath experience was nice and relaxing. We stayed a 3rd night in a regular room. It was cramped, and the furnishings were below par. Spend the extra $ if you go.

We are very particular about the ingredients we consume. The King Fisher Restaurant is too. We travel 30 miles each way to go to the restaurant and feel it is well worth the trip. The staff is lovely, the menu is fantastic. The eggs come from eggs, not a box. The drinks are creative. The food is local and uses... More

I've been to the Kingfisher 3 times already for their hydrapath/spa when visiting Vancouver Island, but decided this time to stay for an overnight also. We had room 306, overlooking the water. Very nice suite, comfortable king size bed, even the Murphy bed was comfortable. Only negative thing was no air conditioning, and there was a hot spell while we... More
