We stayed for two nights in an oceanfront site and like this property better than almost anywhere else we have camped. The beach is perfect for kayaking, fishing or beachcombing. I loved being able to slip into my kayak and paddle with the seals less than 10 minutes away in Seal Bay Park. The campsites are close together but you... More

My boyfriend and I just came back from Bates Beach. We went from Aug 23rd to Aug 26th and I have to say it was an AWESOME time! I love Bates Beach and we are for sure going to make this an annual trip. The staff is so friendly, even the other campers are really nice. The view is to... More

We just had a lovely time at the Bates Beach Oceanfront Resort. We stayed in a second floor suite overlooking the beach, with ocean breezes, the sound of the waves and gorgeous scenery over the water. The suite was very clean and comfortable, and we had everything we needed. I even requested a fan before we arrived (based on the... More

There are not enough lines of information to tell about our horrific stay! It started from the get go, when we opened the door to our condo/ sublet rental the inside temperature was stifling!! guess what? No A/C and No fan. There was a bad smell from inside the unit that didn't go away. When we had our first meal we... More

The sites are very, very small. We parked our tent camper in site #32 and our neighbor's tent was 3 feet from our picnic table. No privacy at all. Although it's luck of the draw that our neighbors were drunken bikers with a vocabulary consisting mainly of *f* words. I feel we shouldn't have to complain, but the camp manager... More

We booked for one night and when we pulled in, we were directed to a tiny sliver of a site on the edge of a cement parking lot. Our picnic table was under the neighbouring trailer's slideout and was unusable and the fire pit was inches away from the other neighbours and they appeared to have been drinking beer all... More

I camped at Bates Beach Resort this August with my family, this review is based on my visit at one of their campsites. We were located on the "greener" side with ocean front. This was our first visit to Bates Beach and to this campsite. I will review as detailed as I can as I know how important campsite information... More

We opted for Bates Beach over the Provincial Campground at Miracle Beach because it was smaller and had better amenities. Although the Bates were the nicest people and bent over backwards to please us, it seemed to us that everybody there had been coming for years, knew each other and we were strangers, and the odd men out. Boating was... More

My Dad, son and I wanted a tenting getaway for a couple of days. Very scenic, quiet, clean, and friendly. Rates are very reasonable. We met some great people from another country and had a lot of fun. Highly recommended.
