Upon arriving, George greeted us with a friendly smile and welcome to the Lodge. After checking us in, we were taken to our room and shown around and told of all the things it had to offer. Can't remember that happening at any place we're stayed for years, if ever. Anything we needed was provided quickly and with a smile,... More

Great place, great owners. great rooms.Just beautiful. The bathrooms have heated floors. The beds were comfortable. Considering it was RIGHT on the highway, it was quiet. We didn't have the opportunity to play mini golf, but it is a beautiful setup. There are walkways around the lake that we also didn't have time to take in. Would love to go... More

I found this lodge on Tripadvisor. When we arrived, I was concerned that it was right on the highway, however, all rooms face the bird sanctuary at the rear, so absolutely no disturbance from the highway. The fun mini golf course was abuzz with activity. George, our host, greeted us warmly, asked about our trip, walked us to our room,... More

It takes several days to drive from Calgary across the Rockies back to Vancouver by the scenic route. This means stopping of at towns that are basically transport hubs or ex mining towns. They tend to have basic motels for accommodation. This was an exceptionally well presented motel. The rooms are very well furnished up to standards of many city... More

Cranbrook was a stopover for us on our way from Glacier to Banff. Given the "anytown" feel driving down the main street (big box stores and fast food restaurants) and the location of the lodge, we figured our rooms would be serviceable at best. How great to walk into our two bedroom suite at ELL to find it immaculate, super... More

The hospitality was exceptional. The rooms were clean and well appointed. We were travelling our two small children and the hotel was very accommodating. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Kootneys.

My wife and I had just finished a drive from eastern Washington to Inuvik, NWT, a 6000 mile round trip drive. Our last night was scheduled in the Elizabeth Lake Lodge. Sure it's got a giant 1970's Moose mural, yup it's got a miniature golf course, and it does look a little small. When you see the rooms and the... More

We stayed here for two nights with the whole family, including three adults, a baby and two large dogs. It was a perfect spot for the dogs and a great stay for the family. - The staff is incredibly nice, welcoming and extremely helpful. - The rooms and building were very clean. - There is a bird sanctuary and trails...
