This place is awesome - attractive man to check you in, spotlessly clean, retro tubs in great shape, great fridge/freezer, microwave and a table so you can bring in your dinner and save some money for the family, comfortable beds, great Wifi, and absolutely amazing rates!! The Maid even ran after us in the car to bring us a book... More

went to the lazy bear lodge because it was very economical. The sign out front said newly renovated rooms which had a newer sink in bathroom and still had a green tub. There was a small fridge on a very low stand. There was a desk with a lamp, a tray with a coffee pot and all the stuff for it. the... More

The location of this motel is right on the highway, so be aware if noise causes you concern. No problems at check-in and we were soon in our rooms. They were completely satisfactory, though it was nice to see the fridge and microwave...nothing else special though. The pool was covered up, but the pool area looked orderly and safe. The... More

I think it is best to say first that the owners of the hotel are very friendly and accommodating. The front entrance has a nice area with a bar-b-que. The pool a fenced in area out front. We had two rooms at this hotel and they were very different. First the "bad" room. It stunk of cigarette smoke. We were... More

It was a great stop. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the room....and the lovely way the towels were folded. I got a chuckle when I was greeted at reception by a young, shirtless, tattooed young man. He was amazingly friendly and helpful....don't judge by what people are wearing or not wearing!! Even though we were on a busy... More

Clean, great service, my kids loved the pool, very nice stuff, simple breakfast included, Clean working BBQ, great atmosphere. I've got a family, 2 Queen beds deal with kitchen equipment in the room, at a price that makes you wonder how do they make money ????

We stopped over in Cranbrook for one night at the Lazy Bear Lodge. Our family of 6 had a fantastic time. Upon arrival they even lessened our room cost!! The pool is outdoor and was rather a little chilly but we didn't care and went in anyways. We were able to eat dinner at the pool and chilled there most... More

Small, older, two story Motel. Has a small pool. On Main Street. Best value I've found. I've stayed here a dozen times and has always been well maintained and quiet. It is the ideal type of BASIC sleep accommodation there is, and the beds are fine. As a senior this has been very affordable...under $95 CAD / night including tax.

New owners are trying to make this a nice, small motel. Clean, reasonably quiet considering the busy street location. Nothing outstanding either way. Had most amenities; minimum breakfast but good muffins, friendly ownership. Nice flowers along walkway. Very good value compared to comparable competition.

It's nice to know that there are still hotels/motels/inns with this price for accommodation. The things I like about this lodge is the tv, clean flooring and it has microwave and refrigerator. People are friendly in the front desk. Things that they can improve on are the tiles of the shower, carpet, pool area, new towels( edges of the towels... More
