I did not stay in the room but my husband did as I was not with him on this particular trip. I booked a room over the phone.. Normally I wouldn't book a smoking room but my husband is a smoker. However I was still concerned about how bad the room would smell of smoke. My husband had no complaints... More

For Fort St John, this is an average hotel. It can be very difficult to find a room in town so if you have to stay there, the one thing you need to know is that they do not understand the concept of a no-smoking room, or at least their guests don't. As soon as I opened the door to... More

The motel is on the main highway so very easy to find and access. It is facing the right way and is very quiet, a rare truck starting up in the morning. The rooms are large and comfortable - Great towels. Friendly staff and a good pub/restaurant attached.but no noise or rowdiness associated with it.

My experience wasn't great. I arrived late one night, and they gave me a room. Fort St. John is fairly busy so I was glad that I was able to get a room at a decent price. Unfortunately, there were a number of issues with the room. The A/C didn't put out much cold, so the room was very warm.... More

My sister and I had stayed in 11 different motels on our 4,000 mile car trip to Dawson City and back. My son recommended the EconoLodge in Fort St. John to us as we were overnighting there on our way back home. Of all the places we stayed on this trip we rated the EconoLodge as the best. The staff... hotel has seen hard times, no doubt during winter busy season. non-smoking room smelled, hallways stained and look hard-done-by. fridge and micro in the room is a plus, and I will stay here again. I won't recommend it to hoity-toity wanting luxe accommodation. Nice, safe place to crash on your drive north or south at a good rate.
