This lodge is beautiful and comfortable with large homey rooms, gardens and a wonderful view, but the best part was our Host(s) Doris and Norbert. This friendly and efficient couple made us feel welcome and special from the minute we arrived. The homemade meals are fabulous! This place is not an ordinary overnight accommodation - it's truly unique and personal.... More

This Swiss/German themed lodge is run by Doris and Norbert who are two characters. They built the whole place themselves including a giant tree trunk in the main dining room. There is a great view of the mountains from the dining area with access to a large deck across the front of the building. There are separate cabins as well as... More

Our two night stay was very enjoyable. Doris and Norbert make you feel very welcome, in fact you get a big welcoming hug on arrival. Had a lovely big room at the front with lovely balcony overlooking the mountains where we watched eagles and humming birds whilst the sun went down. Nothing is too much trouble for these hosts. Doris... More

Wonderfully located just out of town in a peaceful mountain setting, this lodge is a home away from home. Very friendly and welcoming hosts Doris and Norbert made the stay especially memorable. Clean, spacious rooms and Doris’s exceptionally tasty food. I’m already planning a return visit.

Doris & Norbert's genuine hospitality was just what our group of 5 needed to prepare for a backcountry ski trip to the Asulkan Glacier. They set us up in rooms well-suited to our needs, fed us some phenomenal meals and generally charged up our souls for the journey ahead. Glenogle is the real deal in old-world German hospitality. Our 3-day... More

As soon as you walk through the door expect to be greeted by a big hug from proprietress, Doris. You'll immediately feel like family. The family dynamic duo, Norbert and Doris do it all. Breakfast and dinner are wonderful, rooms are comfortable and clean, location is secluded but convenient. You won't be disappointed with the Glenogle. As soon as you... More

My fiancé and I had a wonderful stay at the Glenogle Mountain Lodge and Spa! We felt as if we were staying with family and the food was absolutely amazing! We couldn't have asked for a better first experience in Golden! We stayed in the main building, our bed was very comfy, had a gorgeous view of the surround forest,... More

We had a fabulous three days in one of the cabins - very comfortable and we were made to feel very welcome. So welcome, in fact, that we would definitely stay in the main building next time to enjoy the hospitality even more. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I would like to start with a HUGE thank you to the owners! Our stay was flawless and the food is home cooked. Such care and pride with each guest stay. We were greeted with a huge hug! The prices are very fair as you can not get a better bed, linen, food or just a great conversation with these... More
