My fiancée and I stayed in this wonderful chalet which is surrounded by an amazing scenery and gorgeous fresh smell from trees and nature. We were amazed to be within the mountains in this lovely house, Doris and her husband made us feel like home and they were so friendly and chatty that we spend our afternoon sharing stories and... We as northAmericans forget that there is an entire world out there that does things a little differently. The two German expats have brought a part of Europe that is rarely seen to most. His is a genuine German mountain in run by two dedicated and colorful innkeepers. If you are looking to escape the hustle of every day life,... More

The Glenogle Lodge far exceeded my expectations. When my parents said I'd be staying at a mountain Lodge as a rest stop for a couple nights while on our way to Vancouver, I was really excited. The first drive up was beautiful. Upon entering the lodge I immediately felt at home. Doris greeted us, told us where our room was,... More

This was our second stay at the lodge and was amazing as the first. The supper and breakfast was some of the best food I have had hands down. And Doris and Norbert treated us as we were family it was great. It is a little of the trail but it is worth 8 minute drive off of the highway.... More

Being well back from the highway in a beautiful setting and having a gorgeous view, this really is a great place to get away!! Quiet and relaxing with very interesting décor. Extremely clean and well kept. Doris and Norbert do their best to make you feel at home and they are very good at it. We have been there several... More

The description on the website did not accurately describe the lodge. Unfortunately, the grounds have gotten out of control with weeds, piles of dirt and pallets left around. The furniture is outdated and the decorating sparse without personality. Cabin bathroom smelled mouldy and the smokehouse behind cabin #1 made the whole area smoky (at times it hurt the eyes). There... More

What a wonderful August long weekend we had at Glenogle. Great food, beautiful rooms, beautiful views. Doris and the butcher took wonderful care of us. Homemade meals, beautiful log cabins, nice and quiet. Hummingbirds everywhere

We did not enjoy our stay. Upon arrival we were shuffled of our room without assistanc. We came at a busy time and it was only the owners checking in people and cooking dinner for all guests. There was no tv no air conditioning so room was boiling. WiFi was shut off at 8:30 pm. As far as the spa... More

This lodge is beautiful and comfortable with large homey rooms, gardens and a wonderful view, but the best part was our Host(s) Doris and Norbert. This friendly and efficient couple made us feel welcome and special from the minute we arrived. The homemade meals are fabulous! This place is not an ordinary overnight accommodation - it's truly unique and personal.... More
