Highland Lodge really is everything that they say it is! My room was indeed luxurious and lying in the jacuzzi bath I could look out at pristine forest. The staff are young and friendly without being intrusive. If you want peace and quiet you can find it in the lodge, if you want to join in the friendly and lively... more

Beautiful place. Terrific atmosphere. Easy walk to the Kicking Horse Mountain Resort gondola. Took the gondola to the top of the mountain and hiked down. The Grizzly Bear Refuge is definitely a must see! We caught the Lodge a week before they closed for the shoulder season between hiking & biking and skiing & snowboarding. There was one other couple... more

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Highland Lodge for three nights in February 2009. We chose this hotel for its proximity to Kicking Horse, as we were in the area primarily for skiing. The lodge is about a 5 minute walk to the base of the ski hill, so it is not a true ‘ski in/ski out’ property. Though,... more

We had a reservation at the highland lodge. So on a beautiful endseptember night we arrived at around 8 pm at highland lodge. Everything was dark, no lights inside the lodge, nobody around. We spent half an hour waiting and looking for somebody letting us in. But nobody was there. Asked a security guy who had duty near to the lodge... more

I would recommend the Highland Lodge to everyone! My friends & I stayed at the Highland Lodge in early October with a group 16 and we all had a BEAUTIFUL time at Kicking Horse and at the Highland Lodge. The rooms are large & inviting with fluffy beds & your own balcony. The hot tub off the main deck was... more

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our 8 night stay at the Highland Lodge! The lodge had a great location within easy driving distance of 6 national parks. The wood and stone lodge was well-decorated in a Scottish theme. Our room was great! The bed was rediculously comfortable and we had a view of the snow-capped rockies. The Local Hero... more

It is always funny to be in summer in a winter resort. We stayed at the Highland lodge for one night through Kicking Horse Central reservations. Lodge has a Scottish theme, including a Scottish cooked breakfast (included although I am not sure if that is standard). Unfortunately the weather was also Scottish (rain) so we did not go up to... more

This was my first experience snowboarding in Canada and what a fantastic experience and a fabulous place to stay. It was everything that you could expect from a first class, five star place and with a great pub right on the doorstep - in fact, no, you didn't even need to step outside the door. After a long flight from... more
