It is somewhat suspect that the glowing review that appears on the 22nd of August reflects a very positive experience at this Motel, when ours, on the same evening, was just a nightmare. We checked into the Lucky Strike on the 22nd of August. The young man at the desk seemed overwhelmed and not actually sure what room was available.... More

I am not demanding about cheap motels. But this place leaves me almost speechless. Almost, but not quite. I am done raging, and now I chuckle. Here's the story. So, we rented a suite. It seemed a decent deal, about $100 for two queens in a separate room, and a living room. Everything in it was from about 1994, and... More

We we coming back from our long weekend adventure when we found our selves in the position of needing a motel room for the night. We stopped in Hope and saw that most of the motels were full. We pulled in to the Lucky Strike Motel. We walked into the office and was greeted by a very friendly young man.... More

If you want to crash for the night like us, but don't care about a pool or continental breakfast, the Lucky Strike is a good hotel. Fairly quiet, but close to restaurants (Home Reastaurant). It is older, still uses regular keys, and the staff is not always there.

Checked in just before 11pm, other nearby motels were full, but the manager was friendly and willing to negotiate a reasonable price for the three of us. Room was clean and well-appointed, beds and bedding were in good condition, bathroom plumbing worked fine. Complimentary WiFi signal was strong and Scape worked just fine. Only downside was the road noise, which... More

The room was okay - it was dated and the matresses have been used a few too many times. We were with my mother-in-law in a "two bedroom suite" which actually means one bedroom plus a double bed in the living room. The air conditioning was only in the living room/bedroom so the bedroom and bathroom were very warm. Our... More

Clean. Barebones. Pricey (+100) but this seems to be in line with other motels in the area that aren't total dives. Beds were quite uncomfortable (rock hard). Friendly innkeepers.

Needed a inexpensive room with internet for one night and pulled in here by chance (no pun intended) The front desk was friendly and efficient. The room had new carpet, new flooring in bathroom, new fluffy absorbent towels, a queen size bed, tableand chairs, sitting area, fridge, mircowave, coffee maker, kettle, dishes and cutlery. The bed was a bit old... More

Driving to Alaska twice, I stayed here twice, 1 year apart. My memory of it is that is was pretty much the same both times. The place is old. It does need updating compared to a lot of other motels. But is is clean and the managers/owners are very friendly and accomadating. I did not make reservations. I simply drove... More

I was looking for a place to stay that was inexpensive, clean and quiet. Well, I found it. The room was as clean as can be expected for an older, well used room. It seriously needs new carpet, paint, furniture, etc. But that would increase the price from $55 to $85-$95/night. The owners would probably be offended if you said... More
