We spent four wonderful days at Talus Lodge. The lodge is located at tree line with wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. Our guide Chris was both an experienced guide, with extensive knowledge of the area as well as the perfect host! I would recommend Talus as a unique experience and a great outdoor adventure.

If you want a full retreat from the pressures of suburban life, Talus Lodge offers the perfect escape. The hikes, with Chris as our very experienced, knowledgeable guide, were paced just right--not too challenging and slow enough to absorb the surrounding beauty. While the lodging is rustic, the comfort and food were top-notch. This was quite possibly my best holiday... More

My husband and I spent just over 3 days towards the middle of September at Talus Lodge in Invermere, British Columbia. The lodge is simple, but extremely comfortable, and can accommodate up to 12 guests, in addition to the owner, Chris, who also acts as guide on hikes, and the chef, Mo, who prepares delicious meals for guests. Access is... More

The Talus Lodge is a wonderful way to be spoiled while enjoying some spectacular hiking in a wilderness location. Chris is a wonderful host and guide, tailoring the difficulty of the hiking to the conditions and the level of the group. Mo was a great cook and we appreciated her treats and scrumptious meals at the end of a day's... More

Just came back from three days at Talus Lodge. What a wonderful mountain high! Whether we were hiking above the treeline or down in the valleys the sights were spectacular. Chris was a terrific guide who seemed to know every rock, tree and flower on the way. Accommodation is cozy and comfortable. The food was plentiful and tasty. Bathrooms clean... More

My wife and I had a great time. Our small group was excellent, really great people who appreciate the beauty and serenity. Chris took us on a unique hike everyday. It really is awesome being perched up on top of a mountain surrounded by the majestic Rockies. Food was delicious, prepared with healthy ingredients and provided us with good energy... More

This was our second trip to Talus & it was as good or better than the first trip. Lodge is well designed, very comfortable, and the food was outstanding. Hiking is great even when the weather was threatening; somehow Chris managed to always get us back before the rain arrived! Will return again!

We had picked Talus for a one week family reunion ( 14 including 6 young children ) and it has been an excellent choice. The location is superb, the helicopter ride spectacular and everyone had really the feeling to be in an exceptional place. More importantly Chris is a wonderful guide and Michelle is a great cook. And this comment... More

This was our 4th trip into Talus Lodge - and we'll go again. The location of the lodge is breathtaking - on a sun-drenched plateau that receives very little rain. Chris Espinel, the lodge owner and manager, is a very knowledgeable guide - the daily hikes are spectacular. Food was stellar, lodge is comfy, and terrain is magical. See you... More
