For four nights overlapping New Year's Eve, the Rocky Mountain Ramblers had the good fortune to book rooms in Nelson, B.C. while skiing in the area. We stayed at Jennifer and Steve Kim's North Shore Inn, just over the bridge from the city proper. I can't recommend the NSI more enthusiastically. It's a wonderful place to stay. Jennifer and Steve... More

This was the last night on a road trip to explore some of British Columbia. This was not the best place we stayed but it was comfortable and inexpensive. Like the rest of Nelson, it basically hasn't changed since the 1960's - turquoise blue bath/toilet/sink/counter. A huge room with little more than a king bed and some tired furniture. And... More

We just stayed at this hotel for 4 days (with 3 other couples). Let's say they should clean their carpets on the stairs and halls...starting to smell. Their breakfast is bagels or toast & coffee. No coffee pots in the rooms and coffee is only in the lobby in the early morning. We had booked our Sept stay way back... More

This was a great spot to stay and only just across the bridge. You can walk across the bridge to the streetcar and go downtown or it is just a quick drive away too. I would recommend this spot as it has great views of the lake and is not far out of the way.

we stayed here 3 nights and found it clean and very affordable. we had a corner room with a king bed and a balcony. We could see the lake from the balcony and sat out there and read sometimes. the room was very large and comfortable. for the price, it was a fantastic deal in this tourist town. IF you... More

Our stay was for 3 nights, as we used Nelson as our home base for a motorcycle tour throughout the surrounding area. The room was simple yet spacious, comfortable, and had a small balcony overlooking Kootenay Lake. We appreciated that the location was away from the downtown core and didn't mind the 30 minute walk to reach it. The front... More

I stayed for two nights and it was a decent enough place. Not a lot of flair or anything, but clean rooms and the staff always makes sure to say hello when you walk in. It is across the bridge and not downtown, but if you don't mind a bit of a hike or want to drive in to town... More

Had a very enjoyable stay here. Pleasant motel, large room, very comfortable bed. Clean accommodation and good value. The only downside was the lack of tea and coffee making facilities in the room, otherwise no complaints.

This is a good place to stay for a budget traveler. Nice views, good price, decent rooms, breakfast. For the price you can't really lose. No complaints at all and I would stay here again. Only upside would be if it had a pool or hot tub.

The motel sits on the hwy, but is off the road far enough that there is no noise. All the rooms have a nice patio with chairs included to enjoy the outside view of Nelson and the Kootenai River. Such a gorgeous area.
