We stayed in a two bedroom unit in the lodge building. It was very well equipped in the kitchen. and nicely appointed with all the modern conveniences. The washer/dryer was a convenience as were the two bathrooms. The outdoor fireplace is so lovely at night and has comfortable seating Because it is further back from the sea in the lodge... more

Excellent location with great walking paths to beach or around the resort area. Rooms are well appointed and comfortable. Beats staying in a hotel. Try the 1-bedroom with the bath in room - simply wonderful. Some 1-BR suites have large rain shower units along with the bath. It's a wonderful treat to ourselves - a lovely getaway. Studio suites include... more

Good value for a place located within the grid of hotels that include ti-na-mara. Name implies waterfront, however the majority of the units are not waterfont. This hotel is a part ownership type, and in our experience these are good places to stay, as they include full kitchens, etc. Best rooms are in the newer of the buildings, the main... more

Just returned home after spending the weekend at this luxury resort. We had a one bedroom suite in the main lodge consisting of one bedroom, full kitchen, living room, two full baths (one with a tub and separate shower, the other with a shower only) and a very large deck. Although there were only two of us, the suite was... more

We had a 2 bedroom suite in the main building (they call it the "100" building), same building as the check-in desk. The location is quite a long ways to the beach, and had virtually no views (maybe a small peek at the horizon). If you want views, then you need to get the Waterfront Villa (there are 4 of... more

We have been to this resort once before. The staff is friendly and helpful, and always had an answer to all our questions. The room was spacious, and had all the modern amenities (as is expected of such a resort). There was even a computer hookup cable for the TV; for us this was a nice touch. Despite the ongoing... more

Reasonable value for a comfortable and fairly spacious accomodation. Nice decor, modern well equipped kitchen. It would have been nice if the resort was finished, it was half built when we went and construction had been halted, probably due to the economy and slow timeshare sales. There were 3 buildings complete but the construction area was a bit of an... more

Thank you so much for your fantastic review. We are so happy that you chose our resort and Parksville for your get-away. During the summer months, for the comfort and enjoyment of our guests, we halt our construction activities. We are very excited about the future and hope that you check back with us as we begin our next phase,...

The development is very new with ongoing development still in progress and all suites are in excellent shape. The 1 bedroom we were in had all necessary amenities. Morning coffee on the private patio was quiet and enjoyable. For evening barbeques each suite has a natural gas barbeque for your use. If internet is a requirement and the wireless reception... more

My mother and I spent three days at Sunrise Ridge Waterfront Resort recently and enjoyed our visit very much. We live on Vancouver Island, but are originally from the prairies and have never taken for granted the beautiful surroundings of ocean and forest available at ones doorstep in this part of the world. The resort itself is lovely. Our two... more

We had also looked into Tigh Na Mara and some of the other hotels along Resort Drive, but Sunrise Ridge was by far the best value for one of the nicest places we saw. The other places have more of the "cabin" feel and decor and looked like they were built 15-20 years ago. This one, as some of the... more
