Stayed here for 1 night. Typical Motel style. Proprietor very nice and friendly. Family run place for many years in same family. Room was clean and tidy. No issues. Will stay again if needing a room in Port Alberni. It passed the test . Good sleep not noisy.Asked for an got ground level unit.According to the owner they get a... More

The RV campground has about 12 sites with full hook-ups. Some of them are seasonal/yearly clients. The sites are very close to each other with no picnic tables, and limited trees. There is only one bathroom with a free shower. The bathroom does not provide hand-soap nor paper towel/hand-dryer. The advantage is that your are right downtown Port Alberni.

Hotel was easy to find and seemed to be in a safe part of town. Staff was friendly and attentive, as well as informative about area. Room was large with lots of sunlight, did not smell of any offensive odors (smoke, pets, musk) and was surprisingly clean. The microwave didn't work, however the larger than normal bar fridge and oven... More

we stayed there for only one night. the owner was very friendly and joking with us all the time while we checked in. the room was equipped with a kitchen which was pretty nice. in general the room was a little out of fashion and smelled like cigarette smoke even though it was a non smoking room.. we had to... We had booked a family room and stayed there with our children for 3 nights. Unfortunately, we did not check the room before we paid and this is what we found: -the room had a stale cigarette smoke smell -the toilet seat had undefined stains on it (paint, glue?) -even though we booked a family room for 6, there were... Our room and bathroom was clean. The beds were very comfortable, it has a nice little kitchen available with microwave, stove, refrigerator, toaster etc… Very friendly owner and accommodating to us. Definitively worth the cost, would stay there again on another visit. The owner recommended two great restaurants to us, "Little Bavaria Restaurant and Clam Box".

Booked this hotel through bookings.com. Owner charged us an extra 30 per night ON TOP of our pre-paid, booked rate. He told us that the price we paid through booking.com did not include his "30.00 extra charge" per night that apparently is hotel policy. Also, cancellations are not accepted even when given three day notice! Travelling families beware, this guy... More

Just looking for a place to crash after a long day of driving, we booked last minute at the Redford. We weren't looking for luxury and as expected, it was nothing fancy but offered clean, comfortable and quiet accommodation. There was a kitchenette in the room which was a nice bonus. The reception area doubles as a pizzeria which struck... More

The rooms are large and basically clean, but very ugly. The furniture, bedding and towels are beat up and ancient (although clean). This is an OK place to sleep, but is no bargain for $80 or more per night. The Tyee Motel down the street is slightly cheaper, and about the same quality (with an outdoor pool), so I would... More
