We recently stayed with Rose and Al while in town for a wedding. After speaking to other guests who stayed in hotels, we knew we made the right choice. The area is close to town but peaceful and quiet. Rose and Al made us feel right at home. Breakfast was wonderful! Their home is neat as a pin. We only... More

Al and Rose are so welcoming and took the extra steps to making our stay in Port Alberni a very positive experience. They told us of the sightseeing tips in the area and the rooms had restaurant choices and dinner menus for various dinner places in town, while they outlined walking directions, and made dinner reservations without us asking. Rose... More

My husband and I spent three nights recently and had a wonderful experience. Our hosts Al and Rose were so friendly and made us feel like we were part of the family. We stayed in the suite downstairs and it was very spacious, clean and quiet. The location is great, we could walk or drive a short distance to all... More

Stayed here for two nights; one before and one after my kayak trip to the Broken Island Group. Rose and Al are incredible hosts. Sat and talked with Al and Rose on their deck to unwind when I arrived. Al drove me down to the dock to catch the boat and picked me up when I returned. They stored my... More

Rose and Al are the perfect hosts. My party of 4 were booked into Sechart Lodge for a couple of days. After their friendly greeting and being shown the adjacent rooms upstairs (which were comfortable, airy and very clean and adjacent to a newly appointed bathroom, shower, etc) Al assured us that he would get us to the dock at... Rose and Al were just wonderful hosts. We stayed in the sub-basement room and it was clean and spacious. The homemade blueberry pancakes were absolutely delicious! We really appreciate the great hospitality and the wonderful tips they gave us. Overall it was a wonderful stay!

My son booked us into this B&B on the way to the Broken Island Group for our kayaking trip. It was a great experience, the owners were very helpful and friendly. Fantastic place to stay while visiting Port Alberni especially if you are stopping over on the way to the Broken Island Group.

We are from Sidney and stayed at The Roses this January while working on our house in PA. Rose and Al welcomed us with open arms and had the hot tub ready after long work days. Accommodation is very clean, quite and comfortable. Breakfast was great and filled us up for the work day ahead. They gave us great referrals... More

Great hospitality. Super advice about where to eat and places to visit in the area. Nice room, comfy beds, great breakfast. Pick-up and drop off to the ferry was great and it was really lovely to come back and find the car sparkling clean, having been washed by Al. Wonderful hosts who made us feel welcome. Great value. We wish... More

We stayed with Rose and Al right before and after our kayaking trip to the Broken Group Islands. They welcomed us into their place just like old friends. They gave us lots of tips on restaurants, and even offered to pick us up from town after dinner. They gave us a lift to the docks where our boat would take... More
