After driving past this majestic looking place for a few years, we finally decided this was the year for to stop and spend a night. What a wonderful decision! As many point out, this is no 5 star resort, but you get so much history, interest, and comfort....old fashioned style, at a price that can't be beat. The rooms (... More

We stayed for one night. Check in was quick and accurate. We had prepaid our room through Expedia and were pleased with the price we paid. Our room had been updated and we had a beautiful view of the lake. Only downside was trying to regulate the water temperature when taking a shower.

We stayed here in the middle of May so it was fairly quite. The chateau is an amazing structure all clad in colourbond steel. As others have stated this is not five star but it has more character than any five star hotel. The ghost town is a must to visit we spent hours looking through the many old buildings and the magnificent... We have driven by this location for over 30 years and watched it grow. This time we were taking our time driving east from Vancouver and thought it would fit the bill. The location at the end of a beautiful lake tucked into a gap between the trans Canada Highway and the railway tracks you might suspect that it would... More

There were alot of positives for this hotel. Very clean rooms, comfy bed, absolutely spectacular views of the mountains, garden, and lake from my balcony plus there was an indoor pool. The onsite restaurant has really good meals and a nice outdoor patio. The only negative thing is the noise from the highway. Constant traffic, so if you want to... More

We passed by this hotel in 2013. promised ourselves that if ever we returned that we would stay here. Well as things go we travelled in 2014 stayed with some good friends and had a great 2 night stay. The hotel is in such a beautiful place. We had a room facing the lake and it was so nice to... If you take the time to check out all of the chateau for what it is; all the additions and fine detail, the chateau is impressive. We didn't care if it was outdated or if there were creaks and dust. It has a lot of character and a lot of history!! The view from our room was fantastic! The ghost... More

I went to this hotel for a wedding. Let me tell you that the scenery alone is the best reason to stay here. This hotel is very old. It may not look it on the outside structure but it was built in many sections as it expanded. It needs an overhaul. The hallways are a maze to find the way... More

The hotel is outside Revelstoke but has a great lakeside location. Rooms are good (yes you could say outdated), service and facilities of hotel met our needs. What is the best part is the Ghost town experience this is a real trip back into Canadian heritage the railway museum here is as good as Revelstoke, try the barbeque evening lots... More

Every so often it's so nice to try something different from the usual cookie cutter hotel chains. This is one of those times. Yes, the place is somewhat outdated but that's part of the charm. It's so neat to walk around the whole huge place encountering an indoor garden, a swimming pool, a games room, a library etc. The rooms... More
