First I have to say the property is gorgeous! I was so excited to try this place out for a night. The rooms are outdated but that in itself didn't really bother me much. The lack of service and hospitality was immediate upon check in. The first thing the check in desk said to my husband was "We thought you'd... More

We stayed here for one night on a motorbike tour of BC. What a darling little gem this place is. The rooms are older, but very clean and the bed is very comfortable. The hotel is also older, but so many little gems hidden away to discover. Such as, check out the gift store. The high-wire monkey has been there... More

The location is beautiful. That much is true. However, for the amount charged the room and amenities are not up to par. The hotel needs renovating. Dark wood panels and carpet seem to hide a worn and even dirty room. There were dead bugs and bees on the carpet when I looked closely. Lucky I brought a pair of slippers.... More

Old and tacky, but kids loved and definitely better than staying in town (Revelstoke). Ghost town still costs even if you paid to stay at hotel. Other attractions cost too inside, like kayaking. Weird pool with for some odd and bizarre reason pays homage to the sinking of Titanic (?). Creepy.

The hotel (inside and out) except for the lobby is old and threadbare. I didn't mind it as I was looking for a unique place to stay. I was tired of the modern hotels where I stayed at in the previous days of my vacation. I like the fact that the hotel is run by a local family with a... More

This family owned hotel has a unique vibe and look and is a great place to relax and enjoy the scenery. We used it as our base for discovering the surrounding area and had a blast. The pool and hot tub are very busy but my kids enjoyed it. The rooms are comfortable and they have family suits that accommodate... More

I have drove past this hotel for >30 years without staying a night and finally broke that string when the 'ghosts' came calling to not drive 9 hours from Osoyoos to Calgary in one stretch. We were pleasantly surprised by the hotel's offerings and activities. Our 14 & 12 year old loved paddling around the available kayaks and aqua-tricycle on... More

After passing through here countless times we decided to stop on our return trip home. My husband said it reminded him of Switzerland. The rooms were expectedly dated, but the location and the grounds were so relaxing after a grueling drive through the mountains. We enjoyed a couple of cocktails on our ground floor patio, before enjoying some pretty good... More

So first the good....we stayed in the "Cave Room"....and it was pretty interesting. Given that the hotel has NO air conditioning, the room was very cool and comfortable. Loved the shower water fall. (I was concerned about cleanliness...I mean how do you clean rocks in a bath tub?) The bed was comfortable. The ghost town was super cool! they have... More

Great place on the lake with beautiful views. Definitely needs some upgrades. Very HOT. No A/C and we were on 5th floor in 33 degree weather. Very spotty wifi even in designated areas. Restaurant was very good and sat out on patio. We stayed there because my husband is a train nut and loved the trains going by. Probably won't... More
