Stayed one night, for which they charged double the rate as there was a festival in town and no other rooms were available. Trains passed by constantly all night. When we complained we were told we were lucky, at least they didn't blow their whistle. Bed was a king and went to the middle, very uncomfortable. Bar next door was... more

From what i've read, the reviews for this place are somewhat accurate....the staff is young, there are tracks out front, the elevator is slow.....so what. Just book one of the rooms facing the lake, and you'll have an amazing view of wildfowl and lake with the surrounding hills. Watching the osprey family right outside our room, with the parent birds... more

Very friendly staff, warm welcome. Otherwise it's standard motel fare: clean, warm room, good WiFi and a total lack of character. A spa is available, which is nice, but since changing rooms are not provided, you are apparently expected to walk in swimwear between your room and the spa (during the Canadian winter, this is quite something...). There's only a... more

Goodbye good night sleep! Trains passed by at least 10 times during the night. We could feel the building vibrates everytime as if there was an earth quake. Desk in the morning weren't concered at all with our complaints. The property probably gets the train noise complaints so much that they are not even willing to listen to us.(It's not... more

A very comfortable room, nice big beds and good value for money. The kids enjoyed the pool and the location was very good. We only spent the one night but would definitely stay again. more

Stayed at the BW in Salmon Arm during the Junior National Curling event in February 2009. The rooms were excellent and very clean. Furnishings were nothing fancy, but carpets looked like they were fairly new. I was even in a smoking room (my roommate is a smoker) and it was very clean and didn't smell too badly of smoke. The... more

It's a solid hotel for an overnight stay. The beds were pretty comfortable (though we had just come from camping in the Rockies for a week, so any bed would have worked). The continental breakfast was decent, and my two young girls (4 & 2) enjoyed the pool. more

Aussie family of 5 (children 7, 7 & 9yrs old). This was our 'half way' stop, between Lake Louise and Whistler. Great family motel, very reasonable rate, very clean and quiet considering it is on Hwy 1. Friendly staff at reception. Complimentary continental breakfast in the morning was great and we weren't crammed in. more
