Had a very comfortable 3 day mini winter break to see cherry trees blooming on the south island, not far from home but hotel pampering is always welcome. Very nice rooms, good cafe, and excellent bar and restaurant - frites are an addictive must have. Didn't use the spa. Very well located for walking and main street shopping - don't... More

This is a very lovely place with superb service and most especially important for us... the whole experience was massively dog friendly... not just begrudgingly accepting of dogs but actually welcoming! We never felt that we were intruding with our dog and in fact felt right at home walking him through the lobby/public areas as there were always other dogs... More

Thank you so much for your review, and it is great to hear you and your canine had a such a good time! Our hotel dog, Dave, who has been with us almost from opening, is now retired, so it is nice that we still get to see all his friends and visitors regularly. Sidney is a very dog friendly... More

This relatively new hotel was nicely appointed rooms. My room was on the 4th floor facing south that gave me a partial view of the Gulf Islands. It was well located to walking paths along the marina and waterfront as well as at the base of a small downtown area. Lots to see / do for a small island town... More

One bedroom suite with ocean view is THE room if you're looking to live like a king for a couple of days, or even just for one night like we did, without having to pay a king's ransom. The suite is 835 square feet...give me a break, that's half as big as most folks' homes! The ocean view is spectacular,... More

What a great location and with an ocean view, we're sorry that we didn't stay longer. We were able to get an early check-in (10:00 am!) which was a great start. Front desk staff are very friendly and efficient and we also had great service in the restaurant. The location is perfect for walking anywhere in the downtown area and... More

Stayed here for the weekend with my daughter - very comfortable, beautiful view overlooking the Pacific Ocean, enjoyed the restaurant and the Deli. All very good, and I would return without question. The area (and hotel) are both kid and dog friendly. Nice little community of about 11,000.

Thank you so much for your review - it is great to hear you enjoyed your stay at the Pier. To note, we upgraded our wi-fi in August, in response to guest feedback and the volume of streaming video usage. All our nodes we upgrades and replaced, and our bandwidth increased. We have had no issues since! Natalie More
