stayed overnight on the way to Whistler wanted reasonably priced as Whistler was to be more expensive anyway. Clean no evidence of a noisy evening while it was a Thursday. Clean and we had no problem with the wifi, worked fine

We probably should have done a bit more research before booking here. Downtown Squamish is a weird little nothing town, probably should have gone up closer to university. Room was clean but not very big, quite dark, and no air conditioning, it was 30 something degrees outside and the fan didn't cut it. There's a dodgy looking bar under the... More

I would double the review offered by Rebobca. This was the absolute worst hotel in which I have stayed. The front desk staff was lounging when I arrived. The reservation was for two adults and two children. The photos make it seem like the room would be furnished with two queen size beds. The room's accommodations were two double beds... More

Our room was just above a bar... It was really noisy (like if we were in the bar!). If you want to rest between hikes in a hotel, DON'T GO THERE ! We wanted to sleep early to do a long and difficult hike and we were so tired in the morning that we cancelled it. We tried to change... More

We booked this place by mistake and have big regrets doing so. No air conditioning. It was cool outside but there was no way of getting the cool air into the rooms. A band played until late into the night and made sleeping impossible. This is an awful hotel.

My husband and I decided to stay here while passing through from Vancouver to Jasper. The price was right so we gave it a chance. Room's were decent and clean, but we were in room130. The fella who checked us in didn't give us the wifi password, and we needed this in order to plan the rest of our trip.... More

Arrived at the Chieftain for a 2 night stay and was warmly greated. Length of check in was no different to that experienced at worldwide chains but the friendly helpful service was far better. Our room was small but adequate and was exceptionally clean and the four poster bed was so comfortable, the swan/heart towel display on the bed when... More

Normally, my wife wouldn't go for a $60 hotel but it was at the tail end of a costly trip. Fortunately, the desk clerk made a very good impression when we checked in. The only real downside was that the room was hot from the sun. We opened the window, turned the floor fan on, threw all the blankets off... More

We spent two nights at the chieftain and were surprised to find that the rooms look absolutely nothing like the pictures on their website. The "double" beds were more like twin size, we could barely stand in the tiny shower, there stains and cigarette burns in the blankets, and there was no screen on the window which not only opened... We drove through Squamish on our way from Whistler to Vancouver Island in late May and needed a place to sleep. The front desk at the Chieftain hotel was very helpful when asking for availability so we decided to spend the night here. Big mistake! The check-in that usually takes no more than ten minutes, took 35 here. They were... More
