Stayed here one night on a business trip when the big name hotel in town lost my reservation and sold out. It's an older place which I found to be clean and comfortable, not without minor issues, but at less than half the cost of the major chain hotel an excellent value. Nice and quiet, I had a good night's... More

The room had a bad smell, the box springs of both beds were horribly stained, the bed spreads had cigarette or some other type of burn holes in them. It would be okay for a bachelor with dogs who is trying to save money, but for a lady or for kids I would pay extra at the Glenwood or Best... More

Place looked awesome from the pictures seen ( nice outside ) looked like a clean place . Looks are deceiving, They sweet the concrete outside but hardly do a thing with the inside of the units.. Was in 4 of them and they are all had issues with cleanness. But 45 a night for long term stay it was okay... More

The professional picture shown is not what the motel really looks like so that is deceiving. Raylyn is actually all main floor access and is very old. The cleaning service is much to be desired such as if you have want your sheets changed you have to ask, they constantly forget to put coffee in the room so have to... More

Stayed here two nights while here on a work trip (Trail surprisingly has little for accommodation). The rooms were cute and cozy and the site was well kept up and clean. Hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend! There is also a really cool abandoned highway tunnel right next to the motel too which is neat.

Having stayed there in the 80's, I know that the Ray Lyn was in better shape. Because of that experience, our family of four stayed there for one night. It was full on summer heat, do the AC ran, literally almost off the wall. The AC unit was located close to the ceiling, you had to plug it in, no... More

I arrived in Trail late one night and all the rooms in other hotels were booked as I needed an accessible room and was traveling alone. I called the Ray Lyn and they said they had a wheelchair accessible room. When I arrived I phoned in hoping to park in front of the room avoiding getting in and out of... More

We stayed here for 1 night to break our journey. It is tucked away in a corner on the road to Rossland. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the room. There were 2 Queen sized beds, although a little on the hard side gave a good night's rest. The bathroom, although small was tiled and updated with a... More

We stayed here (out of necessity I guess...because we have a dog). There are really only 3 motels/hotels in Trail. One doesn't allow dogs (the Best Western), the other is pricy (but does allow dogs), and then there is the Ray Lynn. It probably was a great hotel in the 1970's and recent attempts at renovations (at least in our... More
