We liked the stay in Tete Jaune very much, the attitude of the owner (if owner was the lady in office :-) was amazing, THANK YOU AGAIN for your great support. Originally we booked the stay using hostelbookers.com and only after arrival late in the night we realized they cheatet on us and Tete Jaune Lodge doesn't accept any bookings... More

The Tete Jaune lodge is a very well-kept 60's-style motor inn nestled by the river just north of Valemount. They also have a hostel in a separate building, and campsites, RV sites and teepees down by the river. Our group of 20 stayed there and everyone fell in love with this little place. The location is great. The large property... More

I was very happy with the Tete Jaune Lodge. Its run by a family and they have a number of rooms, tent camping, etc. There is a river that flows right by it and a great view of the mountains. Bring your food and picnic by the river as there are limited restaurants and you have to go 10km for... More

I must admit I was quite disappointed when we pulled up to Tete Juane Lodge mainly because the property did not look as if it was taken care of. If you are looking for upscale accommadations this is not for you. The rooms are outdated but they are very clean and large. There was a nice quaint little restaurant sitting... More

Thank-you for your review. Yes, this is an older property and we are constantly fixing and upgrading. In fact this is the 40th anniversary of the Motel (2010). The hostel was added 2 years ago and was a major renovation. The current owner has had the Lodge for 3 years and has also completely redone the restaurant and kitchen. All... More

What an intresting stay I had at Tete Jaune Lodge. The restaurant was decorated in a very different fashion that I had never seen before. it was located right beside the river and I wondered if the river had been higher if it would have been swept away. It had a touch of aborginal art, and touch of gypsy paradise.... More

Thank-you for your review and just to clarify about the Bibles in the rooms - they are all placed in the motel by the Gideons International of Canada - a non- profit Christian businessmen's association found in 187 countries worldwide. Most hotels have these bibles - ususally found in a drawer. They are not Jehova Witness Bibles. More

I've written a registered letter, return receipt requested, and they have returned the receipt, so they have received my letter. I asked for a refund, $105 US dollars, because the went ahead and charged me, even though I cancelled the room FOUR DAYS before my arrival date. As it was, my motorcycle friend and I didn't even make it into... More

Cancellation policy is 24 hours - must cancel with a desk clerk or leave a call back number so clerk can respond in person. Room was held for this party as no cancellation was done. Room was charged to credit card next day after no-show. (Ususally only 2-3 times a year does this happen) No one called re matter. Next... More

We prebooked the dog room over the phone ( we have a small hypo-allergenic dog) and arrived at around 10pm. We were greeted at the office with a sign which told us the staff was down at the restaurant. After driving down to the restaurant, we were greeted by an obviously intoxicated woman, who went into a rant about a... More

This is a most peculiar review. Firstly - the room rate is 129.00 for 4 people plus 20.00 for a small dog (hypo-allergenic or not - whatever that means) plus taxes (5% GST & 8% Hotel Tax). This has been the same rate for the last 3 years for everybody. There is only 1 pet room - every year several... More

This place was a dump. For the same price we stayed right in Valemont (at the Canadian) which had a pool, free ice, and the rooms were clean and updated and the staff was very friendly. We had originally reserved a room at this lodge but upon arrival (after 7 hours of travelling) were told our room wasn't ready as... More

Unfortunately the housekeeper seriously injured her foot that day and was unable to do rooms - she was looking after the front desk for an hour while the owner took the garbage to the transfer station. She informed the customer that the room was almost ready and that someone was finishing the rooms and that it would be alright to... More

My husband and I stayed at the Tete Jaune Lodge for one night while traveling to Jasper National Park. The lodge is located off the highway and since there are few places to stay in this part of the country, it was convenient. The lodge is located close to Mount Robson Park and Rearguard Falls. This is a cute motel... More

We much enjoyed the review of Tete Jaune Lodge and restaurant'. We would like to clarify any misconceptions about the facility. We are a Motel, RV Park, Campground & Backpackers Hostel. We do have a 1922 Log Cabin Cafe that is available for pre-booked catered functions & groups that are staying at the Lodge. Last year the Cafe catered for... More
