We planned our trip two months beforehand. Actually logged onto this very site to read the reviews. It sounded good, so i contacted Chalet Continental directly. Talked to a man named Joe who said he owned the motel. That's a lie. This website also says the average price is 80 dollars a night. That's wrong. Our room was 170 dollars.... more

It was indeed clean and comfortable. The shower was in fact perfectly clean, and I appreciated the shower head was HIGH up the wall! Good for us tall folks. The bathroom actually made me chuckle ... you know, those "Sparkling Clean" paper wrappers on the glasses, and a sanitized strip sealing the toilet lid. Reminds me when I was chambermaiding... more

After leaving Jasper and heading south we decided to call it a day in Valemount BC. The Chalet Continental was the place we stopped and I have to say it was a great value. This one turned out better than we thought. This 2-storey motor hotel is not new but has been carefully renovated, painted and cleaned so that its age doesn't deter from the accommmodation.
