We stayed one night at Chamber's Guest House on our return by ferry from Newfoundland. The location is 5 minutes from the ferry in a quiet neighborhood and in walking distance to restaurants. Cheryl is a superb hostess, warm and friendly. Full of interesting antiques, Cheryl's home is totally charming. The breakfast is over the top good with so many... More

Very comfortable and quiet. Cheryl such a welcoming, helpful hostess. Breakfast of an astonishing assortment of scrumptious delicacies. Old house decor that is filled with eye-catching, intriguing antiques and other objects. A great base for visiting Sydney, Glace Bay Mine museum and Fortress Louisburg. This is a true gem!

Lots of personal attention and caring, artistic detail at this charming, comfortable victorian B & B. The antique, embroidered linens are starched and ironed. Can't say enough about the interesting collection of antiques and lavish breakfast with many fresh pastries to chose from (along with a delicious eggy entre). A treat to be sure!

Do yourself a favour and use The Chamber House. The owner, Cheryl was the nicest person you will ever meet. The house is a story in itself with all the antiques and truley charming decor. Breakfast consisted of everything you would want to eat and more. Home made is the word when it comes to Cheryl's goodies and beleive me... More

An excellent stay and a very kind host! She cares so much about her guests, right down to offering an umbrella when going outside on a rainy day. Want to play chess? In the living room is a particular beautyful set of it. As to the incredible breakfast & the "library" there's nothing left to say but perfect. Thank you,... More

We stayed in Sydney for 2 nights. Cheryl was very helpful and nice with recommending places to visit nearby. The house, itself, could be an attraction because of all the beautiful antiques and expansive book collection. The rooms were decorated ornately, and there was a large flat screen TV in the room. The wifi was also the best we've seen... More

Lovely place to stay, both before/after catching the ferry to Newfoundland or at any other time when you need a room in northern Cape Breton. Lovely rooms, #3 and #4 recommended as they both have en-suite bathrooms, Iced tea, lemonade and pinot noir available for self-service all the time! Cheryl, the owner operator, couldn't be nicer or more helpful. Incredible... More

Earlier this month, my family stayed at this fantastic B&B in North Sydney, NS when we were returning from our Newfoundland vacation by ferry. The decor was very interesting in this 1880 Victorian home complete with period furniture but very modern comfortable mattresses and modern TV. It was interesting looking at all the interesting artwork and prints in the bedroom,... More

Had a fabulous 4 day, 3 nights at Chambers Guest House. Cheryl is a fantastic hostess. The rooms are wonderful, spacious and full of antiques. The food is absolutely wonderful, Cheryl is a wonderful cook and very accommodating, she even makes her own maple syrup. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this B&B to everyone.
