We stayed here because it was so close to the Newfoundland ferry and it was very convenient. All furniture is outdated, bathroom looks like it was barely cleaned at all. Wifi can only support a limited amount of visitors which is ridiculous! First come first serve basis for Internet is unacceptable. For the price paid, we didn't expect perfect but... More

8 years ago this place was beautiful. Attended a wedding and was very impressed. This year I as shocked at how much it has gone down hill. The room smelled musty, the restaurant was closed, the pool-yuk and there were constrcution workers smoking at the entrances and drinking in the hallways till wee hours of the morning. A real shame... More

The hotel is under new management and breakfast is no longer included in the price of the room.

This is our second time staying at this hotel, what a pit. The only reason we stay here is it is right where the ferry to Newfoundland is located so it is so very convienent. We're not eating at the onsite restaurant this year as last year it was not too clean...dead flies on the window sills and not too... More

Just spent the night there for a Girl Guides Of Canada AGM and was really not pleased at all. The rooms were poorly cleaned, the bed linen terrible--my sheets were thread bare pretty much...and the buffet we had for dinner wasn`t great--the meat was dry...and there was a dead fly on the rolls....and the creamers for coffee were hardened....yuck! The... More

This hotel is run down, dirty and poorly staffed. I would suggest traveling to Sydney for the 15 - 20 minutes to a better hotel. You will have a much sounder sleep and experience. You can tell it's poorly managed and the owners are just sucking it dry not putting anything back in.

This hotel is the closest to the North Sydney to Newfoundland ferry. It is going down hill, probably because the owners are milking the property. Rooms are of good size, clean, and fairly quiet. However services are being decreased. Do not expect the restaurant to be open. It was of good quality with a marvelous view but operates only occasionally... More

What a great place and such nice people! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who has to take the ferry. It's 5 mins walking. Not sure why people are so mad with this place my experience was very pleasant. For the rooms that are further away, mine was 326, the wifi won't work in the rooms as well... More

They state that they have Wi-Fi high speed internet access throughout the hotel. The reality is that as your room is further from the front desk, internet access goes from hi speed to low-speed to no-speed. When I inquired, the front desk attendent told me to use the hard - wired internet access at the public common desk out in... More

My husband, our daughter and myself stayed here for three nights. We found the rooms average, dated, and the beds were o.k.. We did not get a chance to eat in the dining room, but went swimming and tried out the hot tub. It was very quiet in our section which was nice for sleeping. For the price, a good... More
