We stayed at this hotel as it is close to the Newfoundland ferry. It was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The staff was awful, there were dead bugs in the hall, you could smell the chemicals as it had just been sprayed, the room was dirty, it had a coffee maker and nothing to go with it.... more

We stayed at the North Star Inn on our way to Newfoundland and it was the perfect location. You are only 2 minutes from the ferry. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious. more

This place is a dump! Dirty,dingy and smelly. Mattresses are long overdue for replacement and the sheets were so thin you could see through them. The carpet was filthy. Air conditioner didn't work properly . What a horific experience. Never again stay there even if it were a free offering. Best Western would be well advised to inspect this facility... more

This hotel is very conveniently located near the Newfoundland ferry terminal. We requested a view of the harbour, and were given a room (without the extra charge for the view, maybe because it's off-season??) that was spacious and comfortable.
