We were expecting more based on the reviews. Although the rooms have been updated and at first glance decorated well, the cleanliness needs work. The doors and bathroom light switch were dirty and the walls needed cleaning. The multiple layers of paint (many updates of this older motel) show on the doors and corners or edges. There is some mold/mildew... More

From the exterior, the Willow Bend looks a little like a 1950's strip motel . . . but don't be fooled. The rooms have been entirely updated and are really quite chic for a little town in Nova Scotia. The office and breakfast room have been updated, too, (the floors were still being finished while we were there). So, the... More

We stopped here on our last night after a long day travelling and were so pleased we did. We expected a room and found that they are dart up as suites, with lounge and kitchenette and bedroom that can be screened off. Beds were really comfy, room has wifi and air-conditioning , beautifully decorated and surprisingly quiet, given how close... More

Super motel with good, spacious parking and very friendly staff. The rooms are well equipped and decorated and the beds very comfortable. The wifi also worked fine for me. The outdoor pool was lovely and warm and seemed clean and well kept. Good breakfast too, with plenty of choice. The only thing that was slightly difficult was finding easy access... More

I was booked here for a quick work trip and was pleasantly surprised. The parking lot looks fairly new and the lobby and eating area are nicely decorated. I often forget the convenience of a drive-up room, as I usually stay in hotels, so it was nice to be reminded that motels are a great option, too. The room was... More

My family and I stayed in room 126 in late July. We picked this motel from the great reviews on tripadvisor. The reviews and pictures are totally on point. Janet at reception was very sweet and set us up in the family suite. The motel and room were very chic. The pool area and deck are new, clean and offered... More

Truro was our stop after a busy day and, boy, were we happy with this place. First of all, it was very clean and so was the bathroom. Sink and tub/shower were excellent and water pressure was good. This is not a new motel, but it is also not of the 1950's-motor-hotel vintage. Clearly, this place is cared for. Our... More

No surprises here. Good price, convenient , CLEAN! Sorry, I missed breakfast. Mattress was a bit softer than I am used to but probably not a problem for younger people with a good back. Very comfortable room. Will stay again.

The Willow Bend was where we stayed coming in from Portland, ME, and it was fantastic. Rooms were spacious and decorated lovely. The staff welcomed us and did everything possible to make our family of 5 comfortable and able to rest peacefully. Everything was delightful from the hot water to the breakfast. I will stay in this motel each and... More

Hot water....very hot water and lots of water pressure. Huge comfortable beds, very clean, apart from the noisy neighbour, set well back from the road so no road noise. Breakfast was a self serve with warm hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit, toast, bagels, cereal, coffe and tea. All in all a good night and a good breakfast start.
