Reception was friendly; that is the best that can be said. The hallways and rooms smell musty, and a mixture of mildew and smoke. The room was clean (sheets, towels, bathroom) but shows signs of age, wear-and-tear. A $60. dollar room perhaps, but not $124. Continental breakfast was the standard stuff, nothing special. The bed was not especially comfortable. It... more

My daughter who is a paramedic in the Canadian Forces went to this hotel to get "shelter from the storm" as Hurricane Bill was making her drive from Borden Ontario, difficult and she was tired, and sick. The military often uses this hotel so they must be used to the form of payment that the military offers. Because my daughter... more

My parents (70+) and I stayed here one night because our other accomodations (Willow Bend - great) were not available for the length of our stay. The checkin was ok/speedy enough. However, I could not believe that there was no elevator and we were put on the second floor, meaning we had to drag our suitcases halfway down the length... more

Pleasant, friendly hotel staff. Convenient location just off Highway 102. Very warm when we stayed there and the AC would not go below 75 degrees (fahrenheit). Very damp and dank. Besides the lack of AC, the worst feature was awful MILDEW smell in the bathroom that permeated the entire room. This was a "Queen Suite" (about $180 a night) --... more

It is slower than dial-up. If you plan on working in the evening forget it. All you do is get more frustrated. Clearly their service was not design for alot of customers. Go down the road to Super 8 Hotel were the high speed is fast and you can watch a movie at the movie theatre next door. more

We had booked for another hotel in Truro but did not like the location when we arrived so changed to The Comfort Inn. It is situated in a busy part of the town but it is set well back from the road and we had a surprisingly quiet night. It is also situated just a short distance from the 'Tidal... more

Well, Truro has but 4 recognised hotels. We had no reservations but stopped at all 4, Comfort not the cheapest, but worth every dollar as far as we are concerned. The staff there will bend over backwards to accomodate your needs, and you can tell they really care! Every one of them, what a great feeling we had during our... more

This is a basic, no-frills, hotel. My wife and I spent one night here while traveling through the area. Our room with one queen-size bed and a small sofa bed was a moderate size, but adequate for our overnight stay. Our bath area was quite small, with not enough room for a decent place to put our toiletries. Everything was... more
