We arrived with a toddler in tow who was ready for a nap and the front desk staff was very accommodating. The room with a separate sleeping area was very comfortable and clean. We also ordered room service...good food and very reasonable prices. The front desk staff was also eager to assist us the next morning. Would definitely stay here... more

My husband I were meeting friends in truro on our way to Cape Breton. We had reservations at another location and were not satisfied with the rooms there. The staff at Glengarry were very helpful. We decided to stay another night on our way back form Cape Breton. The rooms are looking a bit tired and are soon in need... more

Room was dirty and had a musty smell, Mold in bathroom. TV kicked off and lights dimmed when AC kicked in. Door jamb and casing were broken, but somewhat repaired showing room and been recently broken into. We were told there was wireless internet - there wasn't. Poor front desk service. Complaints fell on deaf ears. more

When we stopped here the only rooms available were in the old motel part of the hotel. The rooms were old, dirty and small. Moreover, the mattresses needed to be replaced as they sunk down in the middle. Don't know if the hotel part has nicer rooms or not. The only plus side is that the hotel had 2 pools... more

We stopped in the hotel on our way through to another stop to book our reservation. We were starting our honeymoon and this was the 2nd night stay, we traveled to New Glasgow the first night. As we were booking the room, I had mentioned to the staff that my husband had been coming to the restaurant for many years... more

We stopped in Truro on the way from Cape Breton Island to Halifax, but as it was getting late in the day, decided to stay in Truro to see the tidalbore. The staff were very obliging and got us set up a room that met our family's needs, being careful to let us know that it was in a building... more

We dropped in, without a reservation, and the front desk offered us a room in the shabby, musty, separate, old, back part of the hotel. We had asked to see a room with either a king or queen bed. This room had 2 double beds. When we mentioned their error, we were told all their rooms have 2 double beds... more

I always thought that the Glengarry was supposed to be nice. Maybe it is on the inside, but not in the back motel part. For some reason when we got our room the guy at the desk put us in the back part. I think he said, "It will be quieter". I think what he meant is, on the off... more

I had to travel in Nova Scotia on business this month and had a nice stay at this hotel. The staff were very efficient at check in and the facilities were a pleasure. The piano bar is a plus, as is the hot tub. A surprising treat. Would highly recommend for business travellers. more

I can not say enough about the excellent service at this hotel. We booked our wedding here as my husband and most of his family are from Truro. The staff were so helpful and worked above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect. The food was top notch and we were thrilled. We spent three nights in the honeymoon... more
