originally requested h/c accessible room was quoted price. booked for two night. we arrived late not knowing the area we didn't realize we were an hour away from Halifax we called and were hassled about cancellation policy so we said we would be a late check in. upon arrival we were charged more because they booked us on the second... We came here last minute, booked online at a rate of half of the chain hotels. It's an older motel, the rooms are very clean however. Checked into one on the second floor, then decided to see if we could get a room with an outside door. The front desk staff was very accommodating and put us on the bottom... More

Although we read reviews saying this place was old and tired we did not find it objectionable. True, it is an older inn but we found the inn was well maintained, propriotor very friendly, the location easy to access, the beds comfortable and the rooms very clean. The grounds offered a nice place to sit out and enjoy the sunset... More

This Inn appears to have been really nice at one time but time has exacted a toll on it. The towels are coarse and a tan color that could hide any stains. The soundproofing is not all that great and the bath area is a bit worn. I would say it is reasonably clean and the proprietor is friendly. There... More

The rooms were very clean. The owners were friendly. There were nice adirondeck chairs on a big lawn in front. Our room, #13, was hot and bright but my dad had a room on the back that was cool and dark. It was very good value for the money. I'd stay here again if I was passing through for one... More

We needed a bargain for a stop on our tour of Nova Scotia, and this place was it. We had a great time, the hotel was very clean, very basic, comfortable, nice service, convenient, easy to find. There is a bike/hike path the crosses just in front of the property - signs indicated that going toward the right would take... More

While this Motel is fairly handy to the 'chain" restaurants, they are not within walking distance. The facility itself is quite dated, but everything you need is available. The TV in our room was a CRT,and the channel selection was VERY limited but there was a small fridge & a microwave. One complaint is that the electrical sockets in our... More

Very nice people managing the motel. Clean room. It is rare these days to not pay too much for a clean, quiet place. This is not a new building. I found the old style charming. There is no air-conditioning but there is a fan (do not know if there are minimum standards as I have stayed in rooms with absolutely... More

This was a great hotel; my husband, our standard poodle, and I enjoyed it immensely! We had a room with 2 double beds, a small refrigerator, a microwave, and a fan that the managers brought in for us. The bathroom was exceptionally clean with plenty of soap and toilet paper. It was conveniently located near the exit to the highway,... More

The motel doesn't share this online, but THERE IS NO AIR CONDITIONING. This is surely a minimum standard for the accommodation industry, and absolutely essential on a hot day. And they'll charge you anyway when you decline the room.
