Simply perfection from the time you walk in the front door. Beautiful surroundings abound and Neil, Michael and Chef Michael are the perfect hosts! Diner was done to perfection and all local ingredients which made it that much more special. The 1910 room where we stayed is fantastic with a huge spa like bathroom.

I wandered around for a couple hours admiring the work done to save this building from demolition! Each bedroom had a different decor theme - we stayed in the 1950s suite. Neil was a great host and very personable; one of the best B&Bs we have stayed in! A tad pricey but well worth it! VERY close to ferry! VERY... More

My wife and I stayed three nights in the 1910 Room at the beautiful Victorian home in September on an anniversary trip. The home has been lovingly restored by the Innkeepers/Owners, Neil and Michael. Our room was large and comfortable with a lovely décor befitting of the 1910 era. We were made to feel welcome and comfortable. The breakfasts were... More

Neil is a fantastic host, start to finish. He was helpful in arranging dinner reservations for us and providing directions and suggestions of activities. The room was beautiful and so comfortable. I especially appreciated the Jacuzzi tub after my 5 mile hike in the National Park. Breakfast, too was delightful. I would recommend The MacKinnon-Cann Inn to anyone visiting Yarmouth.

Neil is a great host, and the property is quite beautiful. Incredible attention to detail everwhere, with no expense spared in the fit and finish. We loved it and will definitely be back! Next time we will have dinner on the property.

My husband and I stayed here for one night at the end of August. We'd stayed at three other inns on our trip, and this was far and away the highlight. Neil was delightful and both he and Michael were extremely friendly and welcoming. Many B&Bs are simply that - a bed with breakfast - but this felt like we... More

The MacKinnon-Cann is one of the highlights of our entire trip around Atlantic Canada. I would go back to Yarmouth again just to stay here again, and stay over a weekend so we could sample Chef Michael's cuisine. We saw more of Neil than of Michael during this stay, and he was always ready with a suggestion for somewhere to... More

Due to another B & B in Yarmouth being sold after we booked a stay there, we were directed to the MacKinnon-Cann Inn. Right from the start, Neil was delightful to speak with on the phone and then in person. The Inn is beautifully restored. Michael, Neil's partner has a tremendous gift that he has put to good use in... More

The innkeeper and co-owner, Neal, and his co-owner, Michael, were the best hosts that any guest could ask for. The inn was beautiful and meticulously maintained and decorated. It was great to be seated for breakfast and have both owners talk to us about their experiences in creating this beautiful inn. They kept us laughing and made us very comfortable.... More

This B&B was pure luxury!! Beautiful rooms and excellent hosts, Neil and Michael. They also do fine dining nights at the Inn with awesome menus. They looked after every need for us and the linens in the room were AMAZING. This is THE PLACE to stay in Yarmouth. Gorgeous restored manor house, quick walk to the harbour and a great... More
