If you ever had to book a room in a far away place and only could base your reservation on pictures and guest comments, it can be difficult. But upon arriving at the Harbours Edge, in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia thee most cheerful lady named Esther was there to greet us. She made us feel at home right away. Her rooms... More

My husband and I stayed in the Ellen Brown room on October 4th. It was was very warm and cozy. They have done an incredible job of restoring the home. Esther recommended a place for dinner and it was very good and there was entertainment which was a bonus. The breakfast was very good and Esther was a very charming... More

We stayed one night in the Audrey Kenney room. It was spacious with a bathroom almost the size of the bedroom. Probably the nicest room in the B&B and an interesting history. The breakfast was very nice. If you have the French toast, try Esther's orange sauce. Outstanding. Esther and Gill are warm, welcoming hosts and are happy to share... More

Innkeeper was very nice and warmly welcomed us to her home. The setting of the home is by the waters edge which is beautiful. The grounds have been meticulously maintained and a pleasure to walk around and enjoy. Home has been restored to her natural beauty which is a pleasure to see. The breakfast was delicious - everything was very... More

Stayed in the Clara room, very comfortable and spacious, liked the Werthers. Made to feel very welcome, good breakfast, nice to chat with the other guests at the breakfast table. 15 minute walk to downtown bars and restaurants. There is an Italian restaurant on the corner but this was closed on the night we stayed. The self guided walking tour... More

We spent only one night at Harbour's Edge, on the back-end of a few nights of camping. We immediately felt welcome in this very clean and well maintained period home. The room was very comfortable and we appreciated the warm showers. Esther was a gracious host and was a great resource for things to do while in Yarmouth. Our stay... More

We spent three nights at Harbour's Edge and have nothing but wonderful things to say. Esther is such a gracious hostess and the story of what their family went through to preserve the house is incredible. We were in the Audrey Kenney room and what a special spacious room with a bathroom is totally unique. The backyard sits right on... More

We stayed here in August. The Harbour's Edge is just wonderful!!! All of the rooms are light and sunny and airy. All four of the rooms are on the second floor. It is hard to choose! They all have big windows, nice ocean breezes and feel very relaxing. There is a beautiful lawn that stretches down to the water with... More

Our stay at Harbour's Edge B&B was the best we found in Nova Scotia. The house looked beautiful from the outside but once we stepped inside and met our hostess, Esther, we knew that we were in a loving home. We learned how Gil and Esther saved the house from demolition. Then they took on the staggering job of renovating.... More

We stayed at the Harbours Edge for two nights in the Audrey Kenney room. This was a super room in keeping with the period of the house. Esther was a great host who was full of help and advice on what to do and where to eat. She even managed to book a table for us at the much sought... More
