We love staying at Harbour's Edge. Esther is such a great host and a really lovely person. We were travelling to Yarmouth to visit my husband's family and we had our almost-2-year-old with us. Esther was amazing with our daughter! Every morning she would have a different toy (or box of toys!) for Arbor to explore. It didn't take long... More

It is hard to find any shortcomings with this wonderful B and B. The owners have put their hearts and souls into this house and it shows. The property was lovely and had a great view of the in and outgoing tide. I could have sat on the porch for hours. The room was beautifully decorated and the bed was... More

Just returned from a lovely stay with Esther and Giles in Yarmouth,Nova Scotia at the Harbour's Edge Bed and Breakfast. We travelled by ferry with our 7 year old grandson. Well, you know how 7 year olds can be but Esther made him feel right at home. She took him right outside to the beautiful sloping lawn with the spectacular... More

Esther is a great hostess and provided a warm welcome to Yarmouth. Everything is perfect here. Very comfortable and relaxed atmosphere with a million dollar view of Yarmouth Harbor. My first activity was to walk around the property camera-in-hand as it was sunset. She roomed my wife and I in the Georgie Allen room which is facing the harbor upstairs... More

Esther knows how to manage her home for her guests in such a way that everything is done with perfection, or near perfection -- and yet, at the same time, without fuss or fanfare. There is a serenity, a peacefulness, to this place which is immediately soothing to the soul. Reserve time to sit out on the large Adirondack chairs... More

The setting of the Harbour's Edge B&B is just that: a nice old house with chosen interiors at the edge of Yarmouth harbour bay, The garden (or rather park) is very nice and (assuming good weather) make sure you arrive early enough to spend some time in the garden! The hosts are very friendly and breakfast is another highlight there.... More

Our visit to this exquisite B and B was extended by the remains of Hurricane Arthur...how lucky we were! This is a fabulous place to stay for more than a night! The home itself is amazing to see (especially after reading the "story" behind it that is left in your room)...and make sure to see the photos of the restoration.... More

Arrived in Yarmouth and Esther checked us into the Harbours Edge . She is a wonderful host, friendly and helpful. We were shown to our room (Audrey Kenney) which has a huge bathroom attached to it. We were made to feel at home and sat with other guests in her fantastic garden which overlooks the water. Breakfast was fresh muffins,... More

In late April, my wife and I were looking for a single night accommodation as part of a late June driving tour that we were planning around Nova Scotia when we found Yarmouth and Harbour’s Edge B&B. We knew very little about the area but with the ratings given to Harbour’s Edge by other Trip Advisor members we decided that... More

We stayed at the Harbour's Edge for one night in early June and thoroughly enjoyed the bed and breakfast and the hosts there.....Esther makes one really feel at home, the property is spick and span and decorated and restored to historical beauty.......Breakfast was wonderful as well as the company and we would highly recommend this as the place to stay... Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Harbour's Edge B & B is the only accommodation in Yarmouth on the water. Our large Italianate home was built in 1864, when homes were grand. It sits beautifully on 2 acres of Harbourfront land. We rescued our home from demolition and you will understand why once you enter this great old house. If you enjoy birding, you are going to love this location. With 4 very large bedrooms, all with their own private baths, large full breakfasts, and spacious common areas, you will want to make sure you reserve for a couple of nights. One night won't be enough. Use one of your days in Yarmouth to rent bicycles or a bicycle surrey from The Wheelhouse Surrey and Bike Rentals. These are the only Bicycles Surreys in Nova Scotia! ... more   less
