I happened upon the Inn in 2003. Stayed nearly 2 months, came back within 6 months and bought a house up the road but still stayed at the Inn every visit at least once or twice each trip. It was, without doubt, the best thing I have ever done in my life. The mansion is going to change but I,... More

my friend and i stayed here for a retreat and enjoyed our stay. i also experience some very "odd" things there, this place is haunted and you can fell it when you step in. the service was fantastic, and very clean rooms, and great home cooked meals. i will be back for sure.

I enjoyed my stay here. The home needs a little updating, but it was comfortable and the gentleman who runs it was friendly and full of interesting information. The Room : was large and decorated in a manor the suited the history of the property. Although my room did not have a tv, it was offered if I wanted it.... More

We found out about this place from the tourist office. They never once mentioned that the mansion was supposedly haunted, however. We found out by browsing through the many books on the 1st floor after we had checked in...what a shock! We decided to stay anyway though as we're always up for an adventure. The owner was very nice, we... More

I am a woman from New Hampshire who took a spur-of-the-moment trip to Nova Scotia on Labor Day w/e. I got lucky when I found the Churchill Mansion Inn. I was travelling back on a loop from Yarmouth to the Halifax area (via Lighthouse route) back down (via Evangeline route). I was travelling with 2 dogs. As anyone knows who... More

We went to Churchill Mansion for the first night of our vacation this year. After a long day of waking up in Portland, Maine, and catching the CAT ferry, we were releived to get to Nova Scotia, (the cat was a hellish adventure, 5 and a half hours on a ferry that goes 45 mph) but when we got there,... As a honeymooner I was looking forward to a nice relaxing night at what I thought (from the pictures and description on the Inn's website) was a quaint Inn. Little did we realize that we were in for a night long on spooks and short on sleep. When we pulled up to the Inn from Yarmouth where we had taken... More

Had I researched a little better, I would have realized this was not the place for me. Although my husband was quite comfortable there, I felt uncomfortable from the moment I entered. The room was clean, and offered a little bit of a view, but the rest of the house seemed-cluttered-for lack of a better word. I was unaware of... More
