My wife and I really don't get away too often, and we really needed a great get away, and I can tell you from the first moment we arrived at Cedarwood, all our expectations were surpassed. We were greeted by the Office Manager Jeannie McGregor, who was so friendly, and did everything to help us get settled in. Then we... More

We stayed at ceaderwood this past week with some friends. We wanted to take the time to say thank you for a restful vacation on a beautiful property. The cabin we stayed in was cozy and well appointed and the staff was super friendly. Wish we could have a place of our own in the country but until that time... More

I was looking forward to writing a glowing review for this property, and it was a great stay, until the last 5 minutes of our departure, when we were yelled at by the owner of the property. At check-in we asked whether we could pull the car up to the cottage we were staying in to unload/load the car, and... More

"When this client called June 12th for our last vacancy we had a most pleasant conversation as I shared with her information about Cedarwood and tips on Muskoka. She was very pleased that we had a space for her and we proceeded to process the reservation. Lakefront properties such as ours sit on bedrock which poses many challenges. Cedarwood has... More

We went back to Cedarwood for a last minute weekend getaway and it was just as great as we remembered. The grounds are beautiful and there is so much space so that we didn't feel like we were sharing our vacation with everyone else. We stayed in the Oak cottage and loved the evenings on our deck and the view.... More

I have had an extremely disappointing experience dealing with Cedarwood on Lake Muskoka and wish to place it on record so that people are forewarned if they are planning to make holiday bookings at this location. I made a booking with them this weekend – May 14th, 2014, for Maple cottage for the Labour Day weekend (Aug 30th and 31st)... More

I am baffled by the above review and am distressed by the timing given we are a summer only accommodations property. We are a very small highly regarded summer accommodations resort as our testimonials support as well as the Muskoka community. We were not open in May and this person has never stayed or reserved with us. Our season is... More

Spent the Labour day weekend with my family at this wonderful locale. Fond memories of my childhood in Muskoka. Cottages are spacious, clean, well equipped with very comfortable beds. Everything you need to enjoy the beach. Owner and staff were friendly and provided anything you might need. Lots of activities and shopping close by.

We need a little get away with our three kids. We could not have picked a better place. What you see is what you get . There are no hidden surprises waiting to disappoint. It was truely wonderful! Clean cottages all within a short walk of the gorgous waterfront. Muskoka chair placed throughout out beckoning you to sit and relax.... More

I hunted Muskoka through the internet looking for a suitable cottage rental for my wife young daughter. I couldn't have found a better place than Cedarwood that rented by day or week. Most cottages rent weekly only and that is a deterrent in this day & age in my opinion. We stayed from Sunday to Thursday, avoiding weekend cottage country... More

Booked a stay here for my Dad, my brother and myself on the Internet from Ireland. Hosts were quite friendly and helpful in responding to my e-mails. When we arrived we were upgraded to a 3 bedroom cabin with no additional cost. Is is certainly on Lake Muskoka - the Lake was 30 yards from the cabin. The solid fuel... More

I stayed here on a trip with my family. They were there several nights and I joined them for one. I don't think the accommodations were all that cheap, but the real perk here was that the place was spic and span. I've been to a few of these sorts of places and have seen a real variety of crap....
