Convenient for a stopover. Rooms qute gracious; however ladders and such in corridor outside. Window too high for view.Dinner was adequate though boring: large portions rather than great food. Atmosphere somewhat dreary. Service was good.

My boyfriend and I wanted to get away for a day and get away from the city (Toronto). This was our first time in Cobourg, and we definitely chose the perfect inn. Not only were the rates amazing, but the staff and service was also excellent. The area is nice and quiet, the locals are laid-back, and the inn is... More

A very charming inn and accommodations in this quaint city just a couple hours from Toronto. I cannot say enough about the attention paid to the guests by the staff and the owners. Being part of a photographic workshop for 4 days, I had more than ample time to evaluate the inn and the location. Additionally, the food at the... More

We stayed at the Woodlawn Inn twice in 2011 and again this month. We found the Woodlawn by chance last year, looking for a historic inn part way between Ottawa and Southern Ontario. Cobourg is a nice little town and the Woodlawn Inn is conveniently located so that you can take a walk down to the main streets and waterfront.... More

As this was our first time in Cobourg, not to mention our first photography workshop, we really didn't know what to expect. Suffice it to say it was one of the best experiences we've had in some time. The setting is beautiful, and the inn is well suited for a small-town get-away whether or not you are interested in photography.... More

I hesitate to write this review, as I so wanted to add to the great reviews I had read about the Woodlawn Inn. Perhaps my expectations were to high. I made the choice to stay here by reading the reviews before I left for business in Ottawa. Deciding it would be the half way point for my trip home I... More

The Woodlawn Inn is all about personal touch. The inn keeper and staff have a wonderful way of making you feel comfortable and relaxed. The room was well appointed offering quaint furnishings, good amenities and a comfortable bed. The best part of my trip to the Woodlawn was dinner, it was amazing. I sat at the bar, interacted with both... More

Dear acedaddy Thanks for staying with us for your business trip. I am glad that you enjoyed the cuisine and the ammenities and that all of those elements worked towards a successful meeting for your group. I think visiting a boutique hotel / country inn is about the higher level of personal interaction that you experience. I’m also glad that... More

Back again this year for another workshop with Richard...came away learning something new and inspired. My husband (a non photographer) joined me for the ride from Montreal and stay at the Inn. We loved our spacious room, the friendly hospitality and plentiful and delicious food. Cobourg is a beautiful sleepy little town also know as the "gem of Lake Ontario"... More

We recently stayed at the Woodlawn Inn and enjoyed it. This is truly a gorgeous building, with beautiful common rooms. Staff here are very friendly and we had a nice stay. The room was large with all the amenities one would require - much like a regular hotel room. It was great to have the included breakfast, which is a... More

Dear yazzy13 Thanks so much for staying with us recently. It’s hard to believe that our family bought the Cobourg’s old Perry mansion and renovated it twenty-five years ago! I’m glad that you enjoyed the service, and the decor of the inn with its common rooms, and your guest room. That’s a great suggestion about breakfast and I’ll will discuss... More
