I needed to book this last minute a few days prior because of a family emergency and picked up a great deal on a competitor's site. I also benefited from the excellent exchange rate from USD to CAD -- otherwise, I'm not sure this would have been quite as worth the money. (aside: this is one of the fanciest B&Bs... More

Cobourg offers very few hotel and restaurant options but the Woodlawn Inn is a real gem. The building was built in the 19th century and renovated into a hotel in the 1980's. On the trendy scale, it's at opposite ends of the "W" hotels, and that's just fine. Cracking hard wood floors, comfortable rooms with a gas fireplace, etc. And... More

Although we live nearby, we decided to go to the Woodlawn as a mini-escape over Valentine's Day. We stayed in the Presidential Suite, and the rooms were gorgeous. The living area had a fireplace working double-time to keep the room warm in -40 degree weather, with comfortable seating and thoughtful amenities. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the room very... More

We just got home from the Woodlawn Inn and have eaten at this fine eating establishment before. The staff are really polite and no one can complain about the food or service. Both get top notch rating from my wife and I and the decor is great there with the wood burning fireplace close by. You never felt your in... More

Staff are very nice. The room is comfortable and spacious! The price is competitive with chain hotels and a much nicer stay. I am yet to eat at the restaurant but plan on doing so! Excited to stay here for a week!

We booked Woodlawn Inn at Coburg for our New Years eve. Woodlawn looks like a beautifully renovated 1800's estate. It is truly beautiful and in the heart of Coburg. You can walk to the lake! We stayed in a "cottage' on the premises, had all amenities plus a great fireplace. It is a bed & breakfast and has a "white... More

We hosted our parents 50th Anniversary party at the Woodlawn. We occupied 17 of the 20 rooms. It was the perfect place to get friends and family together for an evening - a delicious dinner, cocktails, and lots of laughs. Marisa was very helpful and accomodating with the organization of this party. The Inn is lovely, and very comfortable -... More

My friend and I had a double room which was beautifully appointed with a fireplace, wide screen TV and 10 foot ceilings! Tastefully decorated with antiques, (new) appropriate artwork and even well-worn runner carpets on the wooden stairs. The Relax package was a very good deal: we made great use of the $100 dinner credit - our 3-course meal was... More

After reading the positive reviews about the Woodlawn Inn I was really looking forward to a romantic get-a-way with my husband for 2 nights. The first thing that put me off was having to drag our luggage up to the 2nd floor because there wasn't a bell hop or elevator. The carpet on the stairs was completely worn out, I... More

Dear Margo S, Thanks for your honest review of The Woodlawn Inn on Tripadvisor. I'm glad that you brought up these points, and I am happy to address them. First let me apologize for not being offered assistance with your bags. The inn is a two-story property in a historic 180 year old mansion and although we do not have... More

We stayed at the Woodlawn Inn based on a recommendation from a colleague who lives in the area. The Inn is very deceiving from the outside, as it is quite spacious. Our room was large, clean, and had a small Juliet style balcony. Although our assigned room noted twin beds, the room had two (2) double beds, which was very... More
