My wife and I spent 2 nights at the Briars and loved everything about it. The hotel and rooms are quaint and decorated to suit the nostalgia of an older property but having all the modern conveniences. Our suite was very comfortable and we found the older furniture charming.

Our nursing reunion has had another fabulous time at the Briar's. The setting is condusive to private nostalgic reminscences. My husband and I stayed at The Briars for a 2 day period in May which included golf. It was a package deal. We stayed in a very rustic cottage which was quite enjoyable as it seemed very secluded. Unfortunately there were many more minuses than plusses.

We stayed at The Briars for the Mother's Day weekend (Saturday-Sunday). Two moms and our two 16 year old sons, with plans for the moms to visit the spa and the boys to golf at The Briars golf club. Just returned from a reunion of university classmates at the Briars. Great food, comfortable lodgings. Our cabin at First Tee had a entertainment spce for 40 people to mingle and talk inside, with a fire pit outside overlooking Lake Simcoe for an evening bonfire. The historic walk the next day was enjoyable.

Lovely place and staff our very friendly. Definitely a resort you can spend a week at. Many activities for us to do. The children enjoyed swimming in the pool and I enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub.

This is the second stay at the Briars. It is clean, elegant and quiet. They have an outdoor fire each night which is lovely. The rooms are well kept and a pleasure to stay in.
