Green Gables Guest House has long been admired as one of the most elegant residences in Waterloo Region. This three-story Tudor-style house presides over its tree-lined street from a 3/4-acre tree covered lot near downtown Kitchener. Its cozy and charming decor speak of great comfort in peaceful and old-fashioned surroundings. A walk into history and very appealing.Boasting large rooms with ensuite bathrooms, marble fireplaces, 10-foot ceilings, antique furnishings and hardwood floors, our guests are surrounded by charm, warmth and character. Combine these classic surroundings with uncompromising service and modern comforts such as free WiFi and you have Green Gables Guest House.
We stayed at Green Gables for several days for a family function, and we had a very comfy stay. We had attended several family parties at Green Gables in the past, and so knew that the house was impressive and the food was terrific, but we had never stayed overnight before. We had the quaintly decorated "Anne" room, which is spacious with an elevated desk area, a large closet, a firm mattress on the queen-sized bed, TV, and a big ensuite bathroom. Our hosts, Jennifer and Len, were very welcoming and accommodating. The continental breakfast had plenty of mixed fresh fruits, muffins, croissants, yogurt, and hot steel cut oats, and Len's special Saturday treat, blueberry, banana, and pecan waffles, were delicious! Finally, you can't beat the location at the top of Queen Street in Kitchener surrounded by beautiful century estate houses. I highly recommend Green Gables for special events or an overnight stay.…

We have been to green gables a couple of times over the last couple of years for a belated christmas dinner. Always great, so when it was time to make arrangements for our wedding there was no question as to were it was going to be held. So on Sat. Sept 22nd, 34 of our closest family and friends invaded Green Gables. We had our ceremony outside in the relaxing and cozy garden. We decorated the gazzebo, brought in garden chairs and had a great ceremony. Jennifer and Len, were very very accomadating and allowed us to set up early, bring the bar supplies the night before, and let us come and go as we needed. The reception continued to impress our guest. The inside of the house lived up to expectations, anfd the never ending food was a hit. Sharon out did her self once again. Thankyou to Jennifer and Len and Sharon for making our day very special.…

My husband and I stayed at Green Gables while visiting family in Kitchener. It was an easy, comfortable stay. Jennifer and Len were very kind and flexible. The home (and outside greenspaces!) is beautiful and has very interesting features. We loved the charm and appreciated the modern amenities (wifi, small tv in the room). Breakfast was excellent - amazing fruit bowl, great porridge, plenty of baked goods. The hosts are willing to provide breakfast at a time that works for their guests...another addition to the delight factor. They also do a great job of being friendly and welcoming, while also knowing their cue on when to engage in conversation and when to allow their guests to their own discussions. We asked questions about Len's work and it was a really excellent conversation. We fully enjoyed our stay!…

My wife and I had our wedding ceremony here last Saturday. Her grandparents and other family members utilized the rooms to stay over the night prior to the wedding. They have been complimenting Jen and Len on their spectacular hospitality since they left. We used the outdoor space for our ceremony and it could not have looked any more beautiful. My wife and her bridesmaids used the rooms to get ready. Green Gables is an absolute gem and I would recommend anyone stay there. It was the best day of both our lives and having an accommodating venue who cares was the cherry on top.

We booked into Green Gables for a small sibling post christmas get together. There were 10 of us all together, when we arrived , we sat in the sitting room and chatted for 45 mins before moving into the dining room for dinner. We had a wonderful roast pork dinner with all the trimmings. Menu was our selection. We had a non alcoholic punch, and cheese tray ready for when we arrived. Because it is a private function we did purchase a permit from LCBO, which allowed us to bring some wine in for dinner. It was a wonderfully relaxing get together, Sharon does a magnificient job on the meal. If fyou are doing a family event/small wedding or just a get together, consider here, the atmospher is amazing.

The house is adorable, in a perfect location and the host is really really lovely! I couldn't indicate more. Large rooms with a private bathroom (and even a balcony depending on the room), amazing garden, lots of space... this place is perfect!

Green Gables is the perfect spot to stay or a week or a month in the Kitchener area. The rooms are elegant, clean and cozy. It is very pleasant to walk the gardens or sit in the Conservatory and relax. Mrs Stacey is the perfect hostess. I highly recomend Green Gables to anyone who is staying in Kitchener Waterloo longer than a day or two.
