From the outside you wonder how the reviews could be so good. After reading many reviews on place to stay heading west on HWY 17 I had little hope. Found the Marathon Harbour Inn on line and it met all expectations. Room was clean, updated and had two comfortable beds. Carpets and painting seems to be recent and bathroom was... More

After driving 12 hours we decided not to try for Wawa and got off the hwy at Marathon. A gas station attendant recommended the Harbour Inn. Glad they did. Nice clean and relatively modern rooms, comfy beds and enough room to get in and close the bathroom door....and the WiFi worked! WooHoo! Staff welcoming and helpful. Would stay here again...and... We were driving to Manitoba we were on the road for over 30hrs here we are in the middle of nowhere near at the border of N-Ontario we decided to get a resting spot, this lodging pretty much saved us from going insane, had the necessary needs to satisfy our own needs for a fair price. Not your Ritz but... More

Rooms are clean, a little archaic, but clean. Ventilation and heating is dated and could be revamped, but ok. Continental breakfast is basic but good. Walls are paper thin and cleaning staff vaccuums at 8 in the morning right outside the rooms.

We stayed there on a winter road trip across the country. Staff was welcoming and helpful. Room very clean with good beds and clean bathroom. Great advice for restaurant in town. Great place to keep on our list of accommodations for our annual winter drive across the country.

It's a deceiving look from the outside. Rooms are clean and well kept. Continental breakfast. (Which had a good variety of quality choices) Staff is very friendly and courteous. Would be my first choice when I come back through this way.

The hotel is really nice, rooms are spacious and everything was very clean. I stayed in July 2014 and really enjoyed my stay. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful with advice. Great place to stay.

Clean basic room, nothing fancy but it works. Staff was helpful, had to change rooms since the first one in the back of hotel was very noisy because of ice maker or some equipment. I would stay here again if in Marathon. Bottom line, clean room, clean bathroom, free wifi, friendly staff.

This place was OK... nothing fancy (there's nothing like that in Marathon anyway), just reasonably clean and comfortable enough for a 1-night stopover. The front-desk staff were very nice and the price was quite reasonable. The view from my window was of a propane tank and railroad tracks but I spent most of my time at Pukaskwa park (or searching... If you are stuck for a place to stay around Marathon, this will do. It is a bit pricey for the quality of room, but the breakfast was substantial, the bathroom was nice and clean, wifi was available, and the staff was friendly and helpful. We had a quiet night despite the railway line behind the hotel. Neither the town nor... More
