I have stayed at this location twice now and both times were great. The front desk staff is professional (Not overly friendly but NOT rude) but the room was nice both times. I will ask for a ground floor room next time. They feature a nice sliding glass door to a little patio. Overall a nice stay. I will repeat... More

Friendly staff but my room had an awful smell. Also it was full of fake plants, which makes me uneasy because how is that room ever cleaned properly with all those plants. I wanted to pay for my room with interact and due to daily limits I had to pay in chunks of $500 over the period of two weeks... More

Stayed here for a baseball tournament in the area. Rooms are fine but some small improvements could make things a lot better. 1. Worst pillows ever. They are the size of a couch throw pillow and no matter how you scrunch them up, they don't do the job. 2. Horrible water pressure in shower. If you have a lot of... More

The hotel is tired and in need of freshening up. Our room was typical of other Comfort Inns we had stayed in. Upon returning to the hotel for the evening we found a large swarm of ants in our bathroom. We immediately notified concierge and we were offered a new room. In our room was a bottle of wine and... We stayed here for eight nights whilst on a birding holiday to Long Point. After making our booking we were a little wary of how our stay was going to be after reading some of the reviews. We can only say that what we had was excellent service, very clean room, serviced every day, and polite and friendly staff. The... More

Got stuck in the Simcoe area on a business trip. The office arranged my acomodations because I was not familiar with the area. I guess they relied on the 'brand name' to make the reservation here. The place is very clean and the staff is friendly, courteous and helpful. I had a ground floor room which was fine, large enough... More

Dear Weary Traveller; Thank you for taking the time to write a review on our hotel. We do appreciate the positive feedback of course, but also the not so positive as it helps to put focus on the things that need attention. As for the rates here in Simcoe, these are reflective of Norfolk County but not all of Canada.... More

Typical old tired motel trying to charge high price because of lack of competition. Staff were boring and breakfast was under par. Didn't feel safe with patio doors that could open 1/4 inch when locked.....easy to crowbar open.....Place was empty but they wanted to charge parents in our group $30 for late checkout until 3pm. Only one review on choice... More

Dear Sir; Your review is appreciated by staff and management. With these reviews we are able to bring to the attention of Choice Hotels the areas that may need addressing sooner than later. It is true that we do not have the full hot breakfast you may find in other Choice Hotels, however, we do serve the deluxe continental breakfast... More

Spent a few nights in the Comfort Inn in Simcoe in March 2014. The hotel is a bit old and dated. In general it is clean and the staff is friendly. I have stayed in Simcoe many times over the last 10 years, and I have also stayed at the other two "name brand" hotels in Simcoe, and they are... More

Thank you for your review. Norfolk County has much to offer tourists. When you go to norfolktourism.ca you will see just how much! We are a rural community where there are only the three chain hotels in Simcoe to cover a large radius of the area. Then there are the "mom & pop" motels such as where you first stayed,... More

You get what you get in an older hotel, it is in a good state of repair. We have stayed here three times for new years over the last 4 years. The room was comfortable, the bed linens were not clean, there were stains on the comforter and the sheets as well. It is always nice when a hotel offers... More

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that we have dissappointed you this trip. You are a valued guest and we appreciate your observations. Since your visit we have taken out of service the linens and comforters in question. Also we are taking measures to ensure our breakfast items are more carefully monitored. Guest reviews, when not... I've stayed here before, and even reviewed it previously. But I feel I have to provide another account of this visit to Simcoe. It was snowing when I arrived, and there was some accumulation from previous storms as well. As I pulled into the entrance, I noticed the front door was fenced off, obviously being renovated. So I had to... More

Thank you for taking the time, again, to write a review of our hotel. We are glad your stay was pleasant. The holidays are especially fun in Simcoe with the Panarama River of Lights on from the first weekend in December through January 6th. In the spirit of the holidays, we enjoy providing the extra little touches here such as... More
