We enjoyed a two night stay at the Waterloo Hotel on a Spring Into Waterloo Special which we found on there websitel. It was a most enjoyable weekend. The hotel is very very well located for Restaurants,Music, theartre,Shopping ,St.Jacobs Markets,Trade shows in the area. We attended the RV show in Kitchener which was a 10 min drive away via expressway. The... More

Came to Waterloo on business travel and never had a vehicle. Hotel is close to shopping and restaurants which was great and within walking distance. The Hotel Decor and Room was a bit outdated but it looks like they are doing some significant renovations to the Hotel. I would stay here again if I ever end up back in Waterloo.

I used this hotel for business. My room was very spectacular and large, but seemed a dusty and grungy....and the first impression at the reception was not nice, as used paper towels were left on the surface of the desk. This hotel has no breakfast area, but recommends places close-by by providing vouchers for 8 Canadian Dollars, which don't get... More

There’s nothing badly wrong with the Waterloo, but it is uninspiring and a bit dingy. The windows in my room were pretty dirty; there was no view. Nice to have the kitchen, but it was a 1970’s kitchen (okay, early 80’s). There was no tub in my bathroom, only a small and minimal shower. The hotel smelled like cooking the... More

This 19th century inn has been converted to a boutique hotel with beautiful, spacious rooms that offer free Wi-Fi, a fireplace (with gas fire) and a sitting area with sofas and armchairs. That said, you need to travel light in order to carry your bags upstairs (no lift). There is no room service and no breakfast and it is rather... More

My husband and I stayed here for our daughter's graduation last week and quite liked it. It's a charming historic hotel in the heart of Waterloo, close to good restaurants and with free parking. All of the rooms are quite large, with nice sitting areas. We stayed in the Rose Room which had the tiles from an original Victorian fire... More

The A/C does not work in room 201 and the window is sealed so it is very uncomfortable for sleeping; if it feels hot and stuffy when you first walk in, ask for another room and/or be prepared to go to another hotel. The staff does not seem concerned or even interested in their guests at all. Too bad because... More

I always like to stay in this friendly hotel, with spacious bedrooms, wooden floorboards, antique furniture and gas fires. On my most recent stay it seemed to have become a little shabby and in need of sprucing up. For example the coffee cups were very stained, the percolator glass jar chipped and I had to ask for milk rather than... More

I rolled into Waterloo last night and decided to save myself the hassle of a late drive home. I called Waterloo Hotel (found them via GPS) and they were really friendly and accomodating. When I walked in there was a roaring fire and a huge, beautiful staircase. This is a lovely boutique hotel with interesting features and unique rooms. I... More

This historic hotel is full of charm and comfort. Built in 1890 it has been nicely restored. The rooms are individually different. Some are quite large with sitting areas and fire places. The ceilings are tall and the furnishings include some period antiques. Well situated in town near the university. The hotel gives you a voucher for breakfast at one... More
