We stayed at Stella Alpina by accident. We couldn't have had a better accident. We were without a room for one of our nights in Canmore and called Stella Alpina. Their ad said European hospitality. They home is lovely and so are they. There is a stunning award winning garden to sit and relax and enjoy the flowers. There is... More

We spent 3 of our 8 nights in the Canmore/Banff area at this pleasant B&B. It is basically a home in a regular subdivision close to town but still feels quiet and private. We stayed in the Flower Room, which is in the basement. The room was pleasantly decorated in a Native American motif with log furniture. The website pic... More

In all my travels this is the best place I have ever stayed. This place was more than a B&B, it was a home. The hosts are truly generous and friendly, more than willing to help with suggestions, maps, guides, etc, and they ensure they spend as much time explaining as you need. The rooms are all gorgeously decorated and... More

Carmelo and Anneke have created a wonderful B&B for Canmore visitors. It's located within walking distance from Main St. one of the town's best restaurants (The Wood), and trails, and has breathtaking mountain views from every window. The rooms are beautiful, super clean, luxurious, and warm (comfortable). The beds are super comfortable, and I love that there's a jet tub... More

Great B and B! We stayed in the Canadiana Room downstairs which is great for a family, as there are sliding pocket doors for privacy between the two rooms and plenty of space. Could accomodate a family of 5 no problem, without worrying about noise. The hosts make you feel very comfortable to come and go as you please. The... More

We stayed here 9/28-10/1/13 and I can only describe it as a perfect experience. Anneke and Carmelo were perfect hosts, the best balance of professional and friendly. Our bedroom en suite looked out on a lush garden which was just starting to fade with the fall weather. There was a large jetted tub for relaxing and a separate shower in... More

We spent the last three days of our honeymoon at this great B&B. The warm and friendly atmosphere, comfortable and lovely decorated rooms and the best breakfast served in town are just a few things that make this accomodation so enjoyable. Do not hesitate to ask Anneke and Carmelo for advice, they know everything about hiking trails, restaurants or where... More

Carmello and Anneke were very welcoming at their beautifully situated B and B, with unobtrusive suggestions as to where to eat and what to do in the area. A scrumptious breakfast with lots of variety including an omelet made with handpicked wild mushrooms that was very flavorful. Good value, certainly, and views rivaling nearby Banff.

On August 14, 2013 my partner, her daughter and I lucked out to be able to enjoy one wonderful night at Stella Alpina. This began our 19-day trip through the Canadian Rockies and B.C. And it was by far the nicest accommodation (not far behind, fyi, was the Blue Sage B&B in Ashcroft, BC, lagging only because Stella Alpina has... More
