I stayed at the Bear and Bison with my Husband and 5 year old daughter for a wedding June 19-21. It was absolutly one of the best places I have ever stayed. The rustic interior combined with the moutains looming over us was magical. I felt like a spoiled princess with our three course breakfasts and the large picknic basket... More

Came to the Bear and Bison to attend our nieces wedding on June 20th. We had a great time and great food thanks to the wonderful staff and excellent chef. Only thing wrong was we ate too much of the food. It was sooo good! The Inn is beautiful and the mountain setting was awesome. Thanks again to the staff... More

On June 20,2009, we had a wedding at this Bed and Breakfast with over 70 guests. We arrived Friday afternoon and the B&B hosted a Friday night meal for over 20 guests. The next day, Saturday, was the wedding with 70+ guests. Our host/chef provided an 18 course meal, starting with cold canapes/hot canapes and ending with a series of... More

I have had the absolute pleasure of staying here not once but twice! Not only was our wedding held at the Bear and Bison Inn on June 20, 2009, so was our friends' wedding on November 1, 2008! I would recommend this place to anyone! Due to the inn keepers organizational skills during the ceremony, right down to the fine... More

Attended a wedding this evening and was most impressed by the setting. Unfortunately, the service experienced by guests left much to be desired. Directly after the ceremony, all chairs were stacked, leaving the family to retrieve chairs for the elderly and unwell. By the time the first hors de ouvres were served almost 2 hours later, as warm and suspicious... More

My husband and I stayed here in the honeymoon suite for a few days after our wedding. The inn is in a quiet area of Canmore with beautiful mountain views. Our room was just beautiful - humongous corner jetted tub, fireplace, 4 post bed, very nicely furnished and decorated, robes for us to use. Hot chocolate, coffee and tea in... More

We stayed at this hotel for two nights - taking the "elopement" wedding package. Danielle (front of house) is simply excellent, couldn't do enough for us, although I don't think she was used to having such a chilled out bride and groom to be. They organsised all the little details for us - hairdresser, bouquet etc etc, and none of... More

First, let me say that for the most part my husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the Inn. The Inn itself is beautiful (especially the grounds), breakfasts were amazing, cocktail hour was well attended, the staff & owners were really helpful and the suites were clean and well appointed (although a luggage rack would have been nice to... This is one of the best B&B style accommodations I've ever stayed in and I've been to many. The hosts are incredible. Friendly, outgoing, excellent cooks. The rooms are very tastefully decorated. Perfect for a romantic getaway. The location in Canmore is away from the busy parts of Canmore. Evening walk taking in the Three Sisters as the sunsets is... More

My daughter was married here on Feb 10, 2008. My husband and I arrived on Feb. 7. We were met by "Mel" who is a wonderful hostess. She made us most welcome in a friendly and thoroughly professional manner. I always think that first impressions are so important, and Mel is worth her weight in gold for this ! We... More
