Very attractive decor, Canadian rustic but beautifully done. Pretty good breakfasts, but I would have preferred muesli rather than sweet granola, wholewheat bread(though the home made bread was delicious), and the 2 quiches on consecutive days were very similar. Hosts were helpful, but you were very much left to your own devices. OK for us as we live in Calgary,... More

You will be hard pressed to find anything better in Canmore - this accommodation is a class act with a walkable location, curb appeal, incredible breakfast with squeeze-your-own juice, and wonderful, rustic rooms that reflect the mountain surroundings in a way that so few other Canmore accommodations do. Why stay at a commercial, chain hotel, when you can stay here?... More

Beautiful hotel. Feels very home like. Complementary breakfast is home cooked and amazing. Would go back in a heart beat. In the heart of downtown canmore, yet super quiet. The complimentary bicycles are great.

I stayed here for six nights with fourteen friends and four young children. The property is very well maintained and extremely comfortable, and the staff (Kate and Liz) were so very helpful. Location is in the center of town, so don't expect a silent mountainside retreat, but the convenience of the restaurants, shops, and driving times to all the sights... More

We stayed here on our honeymoon in 2007 and loved it then so came back this year for our anniversary. What a delightful place! Made good use of the complimentary town bikes and espresso machine! We stayed in the studio suite which is quite small but still very adequate and comfortable. If staying for more than 1 or 2 nights... More

We stayed here for our honeymoon in July/Aug 2014. We had a wonderful experience and enjoyed the beautiful room and great customer service. We stayed in the artist suite which has a balcony over the front yard.

I book The Paint Box for its location and size. I was very pleased with all it had to offer. The staff is warm and welcoming and very helpful. The rooms were spacious and clean the bed cozy and comfortable. The breakfast was abundant and delicious. The quiche was lite and fluffy, fresh sour dough bread hot and tangy, muffins... More

We attended a cooking class as a corporate event. The group really enjoyed the afternoon; Chef George and Kate made us feel at home, they were so knowledgeable and friendly. Our food was AMAZING!!! We were all extremely satisfied with the experience. We would do it again. A comment that was made by a few of the group members: it... More

Private Cooking Classes are a fun corporate event. Glad you enjoyed the food and the company. Thank you for the feedback and I will pass along your suggestions to Chef George. The Paintbox Lodge was everything we hoped for and more! We stayed in the Cabin Suite. The room is spacious, the bed very comfortable and it opens to a garden. After a close walk to town or a hike in the mountains, it was wonderful to come back to the comfort of the lodge. The staff was very friendly and... More

Beautiful quaint lodge that includes a homemade healthy breakfast & bikes. The owners and employees made us feel at home and the location was fantastic. Located in the heart of Canmore, we could bike to a trail, spend a couple of hours hiking, then walk into town for dinner. Loved every moment and would definitely stay there again.
