Please don't stay here. It's so horrific; the room my boyfriend and I stayed in was festering with bedbugs. We were absolutely eaten alive. It was the most horrific hotel experience of my life. To make matters worse, when I spoke to the woman at the desk about what had happened to us, she didn't even sound surprised. Nor did... More

We stayed at the Mountain View Inn for 1 night in early Aug./14 and it was a great value for the price. This is not a 4-5 star accomodation but it is a great 2-3 star for the price which we paid $109 for the night. In Canmore, in the summer season this is a great buy! This property doesn't... More

We were greeted by a very friendly fellow at check in. He provided us with a map circling the hotels location. The room/bathroom were clean smaller in size for the four in our family but we managed just fine. Close to the downtown area. No coffee in the room but there is a nice coffee area just off the lobby... More

This place is not the Taj Mahal, but for the cheap price, clean rooms I'll definitely would come back. I would say it's on-par with the Super8, but a bit better. Don't expect a world class atmosphere, just a place to lay you're head at the end of a long day in the mountains!

Pros: - Location Cons: - They make you pay a $100 deposit PER room key which they don't tell you until you check in. If you want 2 keys, it's a $200 deposit - There is a 2 inch gap at the bottom of the door so you can hear EVERYTHING that happens in the hallway, kids running up and... More

I am driving behind my daughter as she is cycling for mental health awareness and suicide prevention from Vancouver to Hamilton. When we arrived at this hotel, I noticed a sign posted on the door that bikes are not allowed in the building. We explained the situation and said that she cannot afford to leave her bikes outside (1 being... More

This was a very basic, affordable hotel which was good enough for a one/ two night stay. The things that bothered me the most were that there was no coffee machine/ coffee in the room and no refrigerator. We spent one night there on the way to Jasper National Park, and one night coming back. It was very hot the... More

We stayed here two nights while exploring the Canmore/Banff area. The price was reasonable and the location is very good. The hotel itself is, as many reviewers have said, pretty basic. Our room was clean, and reasonably comfortable. The rooms are not large but ok for a couple of nights stay. There is no fridge or microwave in the room.... More

1. The hallway and the room smell like food. 2. Damp carpet. 3. Dirty bed with uneven bed sheet. 4. Bad customer service! And rude!!! 5. The broken bed lamp. 6. The sticky table in the room. Even for $99, it wasn't worth your money to stay in this kind of place. I didn't expect luxury, but dirty room is... More

quite literally in this case. The online reviews of this hotel vary wildly, and I can understand that, as they are likely based on expectations. The price, which is uncharacteristically low for Canmore, should give you some clues; this is not the Waldorf-Astoria. The rooms are budget style (but clean), two queen beds, with basic furnishings, and no fridge, but... More
