My husband and I stayed here for two nights and were very disappointed. As the previous reviews have said, if your room is facing the back of the hotel, you will not sleep very well as the train goes directly by it (the hotel does offer ear plugs). This was not the worse thing though, it was the housecleaning (or... more

We stayed in one of the suites at the Canmore Inn & Suites. From the pictures it looks so lovely with a fireplace and couches and everything.........however when we got there we had curtains that don't close, air conditioning that didn't work, bathroom lights burnt out, no toiletries, beds that were very very uncomfortable, non smoking room that smelt like... more

Booked three nights although we didn't get off to the best start. We'd booked a non-smoking room but the first room stunk of cigarette smoke. The receptionists tried to help but the next room we were offered was next door to the swimming pool and there was a constant loud noise from the pool filters and pump which are housed... more

This is not the wooded serene atmosphere of Jasper, but it is also not the party town of Banff where the kids are shouting at 1:30 a.m. We did wake up to a sunrise over the mountain. Canmore is a reasonable location from the Calgary Airport (1.5 hours) and 15 minutes from Banff. It was easy to find. The rooms... more

If you don't mind the odd train going past this hotel is ideal. You don't get ripped off as you would in Banff and the rooms were of an excellent standard. Very nice staff and ideal location. Would definately stay here again. more

We stayed with our 3 children at the Canmore Inn and Suites this spring and had a wonderful time! The kids loved the waterslides, and although the pool is chilly, it was a great time whenever we went to the pool! We took our bikes for in-town transportation, and they provided a safe room for our bikes to be stored... more

We stayed there in Sept 2005. The room was very friendly (furniture, decoration, wallcolor) and also clean. Although we didn't book any breakfast it seems to be usual there to offer an nice continental breakfirst to all guests, which was very tasty. Therefore we started the day in a very good modd and full stomache. However, we couldn's sleep very... more

The hotel was good for a short stay, room clean and functional, if a little dark and staff helpful. Try and ask for a room at the front of the hotel as the back rooms overlook the railway line. The hotel was a short walk to the main restaurants/bars in Canmore. Standard range of food on offer in the continental... more

I chose Canmore Inn because of the low rates, the central location and because it was not a cookie cutter hotel chain. I was surprised to find that it was actually a holiday inn express that specializes in tourists groups arriving by bus. Four to six buses arrived nightly creating a large amount of noise and confuison. It felt like... more

Whenever we are in the Canmore area, we make a point of staying at this hotel. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the service is excellent, and the last time we were there they gave us a discount for being a repeat customer. The rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable. We are a family of four, and we found enough... more
