We just recently stayed at the Georgetown Inn in Canmore. This was our second stay there. It's just a charming, special place to stay and each time, we have had a good experience. I like the location as it provides a lovely walk into town (we like walking). Others may not find that to be true, but if you like... More

Stayed here for 3 night in early June. Like many many places in this part of Canada it is close to the railway which is busy 24/7 and can therefore be noisy. Room was clean and decently appointed with a working AC which was needed. Bed comfortable and bathroom OK. Restaurant/pub was good with good reasonably priced food (both breakfast... More

Poorly managed. No screens on windows. Window opens too wide...children could easily fall out window! No facecloths in room, No bar soap for bathroom available on check in..We had to use shampoo instead of soap!! only zipper pillow covers on pillows ( no pillowcases). Food in pub not as good quality as on previous stay over a year ago! Find... More

Booked in advance and came right from Calgary Airport. to begin our trip to the Canadian Rockies. Booked the room with the jetted tub, FP & (VERY comfy) king bed. Was not disappointed! Very clean, well appointed suite. Only disappointment was the restaurant/pub was closed that night because the chef got a new stove and it was being installed. But... More

Booked this hotel to celebrate our anniversary. Stayed in a Victoria Room (302) on the top floor. The vaulted ceiling, kingsize bed and 2 person jetted tub were nice but the 2 chairs in the room and carpet were worn and dirty. The sink was chipped as was the soap holder and teapot. The bathroom vanity was missing a knob... More

What a great walking experience. Go as fast or slow as you want. Your own pace is best anyway. Nice picnicking along th rivers edge and you are always close to places to eat(my favourite thing to do) great place to bike also. Lots of history here just look for it. Museum well worth the time to look. Special Poutine... More

This hotel is really quaint and homey. The place seems like it was recently renovated and has a new and old look. The hotel staff were friendly and the room was larger than the pictures. They had complimentary tea and biscuits waiting for us in our room. The room was very clean and comfortable. There was a train that went... More

This rustic hotel is owned privately and the owners have done a great job in updating the rooms. We were in a suite and the king bed was wonderful. Linens were excellent quality and clean. Up to date bathroom had "rain shower" head and all amenities including hair dryer. Although we did not use the jetted tub or fireplace it... More

We are wedding photographers who stay at the Georgetown Inn 5-10 times a year when we have weddings booked in the Canmore area. We always, without a doubt stay there. We love the cute little rooms, the cookies that greet us upon our arrival and the free breakfast we get for being repeat customers. We love the pub attached to... More

The Georgetown was a quaint inn with friendly, pleasant staff. The building style definitely fit the old-English style complete with English-style pub. The beds were comfy and clean but the antique,"quaint" furniture was really just old and dirty. The carpet was filthy and the tiles around the tub desperately needed to be replaced. The old sink had chunks of paint... More
